My husband used to make the best guac (he's american) but after his strokes, he can't. But I remember his learning days just like Nick. My 11 year old grandson has ADHD...and he is the sweetest, funny and most polite little man- not a big deal anymore. Blessings to my favorite couple in Mexico!
I believe that the Tomatillos you used are small, green tomatoes with a papery husk that is removed and discarded and that are a key ingredient used to make salsa verde, (regular red tomatoes are not used) a spicy green sauce that adds flavor to tacos, enchiladas, chilaquiles and toppings for many dishes.
Good job guys!!!!!- That's how a fresh green salsa is made and it looks delish! A couple of quesadillas with quesillo and fried beans and you have a delicious meal. Congratulaltions!
Hi guys!! 😊 I’m so happy you guys are trying to adopt our culture!!! I’m not sure if you know, but the jalapeño chili’s are not spicy we’ll every now and then they are, but the chili serranos are spicy so it depends on your heat level which chilies you prefer to use. Also the cilantro depends on you I use the stems, but in my house we love it.. it does have a strong taste. ❤lol I’m writing a book sorry 🥰
@@NickandNeoshea that’s awesome! Your welcome I’m glad I can help a tiny bit 🤗 I also learned from you as many years as I’ve been making salsa I’ve never made it this way but I will now! 🥰
Open up the Jalapenos by cutting them in half and scraping out the "seeds" and discarding them. The seeds are what causes the main burning and stinging in the mouth.
I’ve never made the salsa like that before. When I make salsa verde I boil the tomatoes and chilies. I sometimes boil the garlic and sometimes I add the garlic and onions in raw with the boiled tomatoes; however my guacamole I’ve only made with Roma red tomatoes, but i just chop everything. I think I wanna try yours. 😊 it looks good. Just remember the chilie serranos are spicy and the are skinnier the the jalapeño 😊❤
Welcome to Mexico Nick and Neoshea, COOL seeing how ya all had the yummy Salsa Verde ready with the help of your blender. As for me, being Mexican, I do it the ol' fashioned way my mom and her mom made salsa, with a molcajete, I do have a blender, I'm going to make it the way you guys did. Thanks for sharing, 👍and 👋from Querétaro. 🤠
Awesome! Your first home made salsa verde! You are doing great learning how to prepare Mexican food 😊. You can also make fruit water. All you need is fresh fruit, sugar and water. Blend the ingredients and is ready. Add icecubes at the end, if course. Hope to see this video soon. Blessings 🙏.
I’ve never seen anyone make green salsa with raw green tomatillos. Didn’t know you can eat them raw. I always grill my tomatillos or boil. I also grill the jalapeño and take the seeds out. If you rinse the tomatillos really good they won’t be sticky.
There's no right or wrong way to make red or green salsa. It's a personal preference. I don't put hot pepper in mine because I don't like hot peppers ruining my food. But I like the flavor of salsas.
Wow , l love Salsa Verde the more cilantro, the better the!!!!!!!
Yes!! 😊
Hello guys, you are learning many Mexican things very quickly and easily, good for you!!
keep doing it😊
Thanks so much! We are definitely enjoying learning! 😊

I love fruit water. We will have to try that. Do you blend the fruit?
Yes, @@NickandNeoshea. Blend the fruit, sugar and water altogether.😊

Most people that live in the small villages or ranchos buy food on a daily basis from the local Mercado do u
Yes, the local markets are the best! We go when we need. 😊
looks solid mexican salsa verde, it could improve if you "tatemar" the ingredients, or roasted, before you put them in the blender... nice videos....
Thank you! We will try that next time! 😊
