Man I just must be extremely unlucky because on floor 2 and 1 the monster literally spawns RIGHT by the entrance door and I kid you not just walks back and forth guarding it making sure we can’t go far from the door before it hunts us down. Not to mention on floor 1 whenever we did get some room to breathe and scavenge we never found the bolt cutters and when we opened the boxes on the walls literally 5/6 we opened were just empty. Ended up with like a billion bandages so tried to bait it into knocking one of us to see if it would change its path or have some mercy; nope.
Hey, I totally get your frustration, this level can be really tough. The spawning location of items (and the number/type of items) and the monster make a huge difference. I've had plenty of runs where almost no gasoline spawned, and you really can’t get far without it! 😉So for me it was also basically trial and error many times. From my experience, the best approach is to work your way down the floors. If the monster is near the entrance of a particular floor, you might want to skip it and go straight to another floor. Assuming you’re playing multiplayer (based on your description), one of you could stay in the generator room to quickly switch the floor lights (to save time). You can lose the monster by navigating quickly through the maze, but it’s risky... you’ll need to shut a door behind you quickly, or it will catch up when you run out of stamina. If the monster spawns near the entrance, one of you could act as bait (just make sure they have fuses so they can save themselves). I just had another idea while typing this... have you tried waiting near a door you’ve just closed and, after some time, going back through it? If the monster walks away, you could essentially follow it without being seen and quietly escape (hopefully it won't turn around). It might be a less risky way to deal with the monster (but I never tried it...). As for the bolt cutters, I’ve always found them on the metal shelves (never in the lockers). Keep scanning the shelves, I missed them a lot at first too since they don’t really stand out. I’ve heard they can spawn on floors 2 and 3, but I’ve only found them on floor 3. In my video, I found them at around 11:50 (also added a timestamp in the description). Let me know if this helps!
