Loved your home ! Thank you for sharing with us. Happy to see your into the past . Today's generation has all new outlook. My home is furnished with my grandmother furniture and decorations , And I enjoy it everyday .
Those metal baskets above your washer and dryer were probably from a swimming pool; our local pool used them to hold your clothes while you were swimming. A large safety-type pin with the corresponding number went with each basket, and you would either pin it to your suit or hook it around a shoulder strap while you were swimming. When you wanted to get dressed, you gave them they pin and they fetched your basket with your belongings.
We have extremely similar styles. Oh my goodness I have that exact pitcher and bowl set. It was my moms. I cherish it and is sitting on an old fadhioned dry sink which I drilled the back for ventillation and use as a potato onion bin in my kitchen. I also have moms tea cup collection all her favorites on a mahogany shelf in my dining room. Similar to your multi tiered white shelf but I left the wood natural and hung it on the wall. Love all your stuff your home is charming. I am moving from California to Tennessee next year. Farmhouse style is the style of choice for my home there. I enjoy watching your videos.
I'm totally like you, I love flea markets, antique markets where I can find one of a kind things to decorate with to make my house warm and comfy! Love your great finds!
I'm SO glad I found your channel! I too love old books! One of my best finds was a old school book from thrift store (less than 2 bucks) when I got home I found a handwritten letter from a man in ww2 to his wife on Christmas day! He told her they got a beer and turkey sandwich for Christmas..and how he bet she will already had the baby by the time she got his letter. Its so precious to me!
Beautiful. Just beautiful. I love your decor a lot I love antiques too. On the west, like Arizona, California etc it's where I have found my most precious antiques.
I couldn't help but laugh when you were talking about the mirrors and you said you wanted to keep your walls minimalist. Lol you have a lot of stuff! Cute stuff, but I bet it takes forever to dust.
You scored on the spindles, and the bottle from Savannah! My youngest daughter lived in Savannah for 10 years. I loved the history and architecture there. I would have LOVED that bottle!! I love Molly! We had a black lab, Tucker. He was the best dog EVER.
that pitcher and basin is a bedroom item, not a kitchen item. In the old days ( think old westerns ) before running water, they would draw up a pail of water from the well and pour into pitcher after heating, to wash themselves with.
I like your style. It's fun to place items that may have been used in a bedroom in a place that works for you! I like to see a young person appreciating antiques.
Your home is beautiful!! I love all of your rustic/farmhouse pieces and furniture you have in your home. And by the way those mirrors would look GREAT on that wall! It wouldn't look like it's to much. It would look beautiful!!!
Wow you have a beautiful home I am in love with all the beautiful old decorations & books and things you have found. Your house is very Younique! I’d love to find an old door like the ones you have found those look so good.
I love that you want your home to look different. I watch a LOT of home tours and whatnot and yes they are gorgeous but they're all just the same. I love antiquing for that same reason.
I absolutely LOVE your home!! ❤️❤️❤️. I’m kind of like you as I don’t like my home to look like everyone else’s. I LOVE Antiquing so I like to find unique pieces that tell a Story. Yesterday my hubby and I stopped in at a little Roadside Antique Store and I got a 100 year old Antique Window Pane from a barn!! And he sold it to me for $5!!! 😊😊😊😊. I seriously did the “happy 💃🏽 dance”. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to more videos from you. ❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely love your home! I must have a sectional like that! I had one when my husband and I got married when we had no children or animals but after about 10 years we opted to replace it as we were expecting our second child. It was Scotch-guarded and lasted pretty well it was just time to replace it. I could not find anything with the lower back or cream fabric so opted to have something made and when it was delivered I absolutely hated it. The fabric I selected from a small swatch was nice but it turned out to be scratchy. It was comfortable but since it had a recliner in each end and a queen-sized pull-out sofa bed with a Serta mattress and since the back was so tall it just looked too big for the space even though we measured many times before we ordered and purchased it. I grew to accept it but it just wasn't what I wanted! After we divorced I ended up giving it to a friend who had cancer and was moving closer to her treatment center and needed furniture. Right now I am using furniture my oldest daughter bought when she moved into her first apartment but she had to move back home when she became disabled. I hope to soon replace it with something just like yours and especially like the Sunbrella fabric! Thanks so much for the tour! I do have a lot of antiques, furniture, antique tools and kitchen utensils and lots of old books. I just love your style!!
Love love love your style..Its pouring rain here in not so sunny florida, lol so I needed something fun to do, and then I found you... Love love your taste in decor !
I loved the tour. Your style is so my style. I noticed the big old Webster’s dictionary on the bench in your bedroom. I actually have that exact same book. I was fortunate enough to inherit many things from my in laws. I have books that date back to the 1700s. I love them. I have many antique furniture pieces as well as odds and end nick nacks. I love finding new uses for them!
I just happened across your channel tonight and I wanted to tell you how impressed I am with your sense of style. Your home is so lovely...and you are so young!!! I am 64....and my home has never had a cohesive look as your home does. Thanks for sharing....I really enjoyed the video.
I have seen your house tour before and I know I loved it. That hall tree is fantastic, I may attempt to build one one day. The 40 dollar door is gorgeous and my son has a ammo box something like that at the foot of his bed Boy your family gives the best gifts! Your doggy has a sweet face.
I love antiques and thrift store shopping to everything is lovely the bowl and pitcher that you have in your kitchen is for the bathroom it was use to wash up when homes had no running water
I had to literally stop watching and tell you that I subscribed to your channel in less than a minute into this video. Your authenticity is undeniable and I agree with so much of what you said right off the bat. I’ve subscribed to a few channels and watched fairly regularly for about 4 years and this is literally the first comment I’ve ever left someone. I hope you keep it up! Now lemme finish this video. 😅❤️
Love for you to do a tour of your shop since you talk about it sooo much. Your vintage shops seem to be so much cheaper than Australia. Love your house so gorgeous
Love you vid. have a sofa that I need to reuphoster but have pets too. Thanks for the tip on sunbrella fabrics will look into that type of fabric for my sofa. Also subscribed.
Try making slipcovers with the heavy cotton canvas drop cloths they sell at Home Depot. You can pull them off and throw the covers in the washer when they get dirty, and they look so vintage. They're pet friendly, too.
I love the look and feel of your home! I live in a small coastal town in Alabama so I understand completely about not wanting to have beachy decor! Anyways, I love love love the farmhouse look! So now I'm going to binge your videos for more inspiration for my own home lol
New subscriber here. You are so creative and your home is so beautiful. So glad I found your channel.Just love the way that you're not like everyone else trying to be so matchyg match with everything. The two beautiful mirrors that you just purchased would actually look great on each side of your bed above a nightstand with maybe an antique candle light next to them. They're really nice.Great find..
Beautiful home!! The store is Coco Island Furniture, I went and checked it out and WOW it's beautiful, mostly beach decor, but it is rustic pieces that could be mixed in with any decor. Loved it!!😍
New subscriber!! I LOVE the picture of the sky view of the farm! We also have one of my fiance's grandparents farm and are now living in the same house they built, raised kids, and grew old together in! 💕
The pitcher and bowl is very familiar. In the 70's, everybody had a set like that. They either painted it or was a gift from someone who did ceramics. My mom painted ceramics, had a kiln and used decals just like that. Yours is most likely hand painted from that the mid to late 70's.
Love your house and the way you decorate. I have a ooh of stuff our for fall and winter but I like to go minimal for spring and summer. There is something to be said for negative space.
How funny we have a black lab her name is Mharley gurl .. and our boy is Frisco he's a lil white bishon your fur babies reminded me of mine. Love your collection 😍
I have couches that are a year and half old and they get those balls too. I don’t have any pets. The fabric is similar to yours, kinda linen. I talked to a designer and she said this is common in these types of fabrics. She suggested using a sweater ball remover or a razor, like the ones you shave your legs with. I’ve used the shaver, it works really good.💕💕💕
I just stumbled across your channel and I think we might be soul sisters! Lol! I love your home! It's gorgeous! I totally agree on personalizing your own home and not being a copy of everyone else. I love thrifting and repurposing handmedowns from family. We bought a new house about 6 months ago and I'm slowly but surely doing those things to get it how I want it!
Hi! I am a brand - new subscriber! I ran across your channel and am so glad I did. I only watched a few minutes and went ahead and subscribed. Looking forward to watching your past videos and the ones you make in the future. Your home is beautiful. Best wishes always! 😀👍🏼💗
Love it!! Have to share with you, I have 2 sets of water bowls & Pitchers. They were used for bedrooms in the way back days of non-indoor plumbing to wash up, your face, neck, hands & underarms, before dresing. Yikes! Scary but true. Yours are far prettier with the roses. I Have 1 plain white set 1 yellow rose set. I just Love them 💖💖💖💖 Got mine on a dry sink stand, eaxh in my guest bedrooms. (Staging) with flowers and candles. I LOVE YOUR BEAUTIFUL HOME & STYLE 💖💖💖💖💖
So glad I found you! I absolutely adore your style! I definitely agree with trying to be unique with decor. I Love Hobby Lobby just as much as the next girl but if we all decorate with that stuff our houses would be identical! Yuk! I wished I could afford more antique store goodies. With 4 kids my budget is more yard sale finds (yay for the season starting) luckily I live in a small farm town in Arkansas so there’s never a shortage of estate sales with AMAZING things! New subbie here! 💗
First time coming by your channel. I love that you stated you like to be different. I don’t necessarily strive to be different. I just am lol. Love your video!
You are so cute and so is Molly. Just lay a blanket on your sofa and teach Molly to lay on the blanket. Easy to wash and saves the sofa. I love your home.
Love the "1" of a kind piece's.The "2" Nice Mirror's that you just Got, would look Great, on the Livingroom Wall, with some Space in-between. From time to time, you could Change-up, What you have, in the Middle. The Picture's Do Nothing, for that Wall. The Fabric . . . .Like the Color of the Pillow's that you Have Now. It goes Better than that Fabric that you Showed us.
Beautiful home you have. I love Molly....where did your mom get that linen/handmade paper book that your wedding guest signed? I have been looking for a book like that for years to draw in.
Subscribed because you're normal!!! I won't ask about your personal life, I won't ask why your dogs are on the couch like mine is I will say that I love your style!!
That is me!! Ha I like different and things that looks beautiful but really hard to find.i learn that doing your own style is the best. By the way first time watching you and I subscribe😊
Where did you get the little shelves I believe it was next to your kitchen. I think you said Etsy, but not sure. I love it !!! I believe it was three or four shelves or a tiny table with shelves.... Love your decorating !
Just wanted to tell you that your pitcher and bowl is ceramics and was probably handmade and decals fired on it. I used to do ceramics and that is one of the things i used to see. I never painted one but I do remember them.😊 Loved your video.
Aww, your pup made my pups super excited, haha. Maybe they don't like your mail lady either? I LOVE your home! Thanks for taking the time to share it!! What did you end up doing with the mirrors? I think they would look good over your night stands.
Hi Victoria - New subscriber here! Your home is soooo pretty and interesting. I hope you kept those mirrors and didn't return them to the store. The tree trunk on the bookshelf with your initials is very cute! I have a few books on my bookcases with the pages facing out, but I am thinking about using a palm sander to erase the printing on the spines to see if that will give them a muted pastel look. Your doing a great job with your channel - you're a natural and so sweet.
Kathryn Fleurs Oh, oh, oh, please don't destroy books! I'm afraid one day they will be a thing of the past. People don't hold any value to them anymore, so many go to landfills because they don't sell like they used to.Many folks like electronic books, but many don't also. If you sand the title off the spine, who will buy it then? I don't understand people buying books to decorate with just because of the color or feel of the cloth and using them as pedestals, without caring about the content of the book. Sorry about the rant, just something to consider.
Dar Still, I would never destroy a nice book. I worked in academic libraries for nearly 30 years so I have a great respect for the written word and books that were nicely bound, had nice illustrations, and the like. The books I didn't mind "repurposing" were discards from the library and had very pedestrian bindings. Besides that, they were "law books" containing court minutes. Nothing special there.
Kathryn Fleurs Thank-you for your respect towards books, and only repurposing lousy books that are irrelevant now. I appreciate that. Have a great day!
Oh my, I was just watching your home tour and when you mentioned the sign your mom gave you , I was like OMG I wonder if you are related to my daughters in-laws, they are Tidmores as well and some live in Texas and others in Oklahoma. It just ins't a common last name. Lol.
Hi Tori new sub here I am also a RUclipsr....and girl you are my twin... I never buy on even go to Hobby Lobby.....etc.....I have a all farmhouse vintage. Items I get them from Estate sales and Thrift store ....I want my house to be different that others....love the tour you have beautiful stuff...xoxo
Try maybe like a dovetail grey by Behr? I think... grey would be beautiful in your bedroom. It would tie in all the white you have... maybe grey slip covers for your couch?? That way you still are neutral. But can mix the beiges and whites and off whites. Just an idea....
That’s the beauty of being creative and doing what works for you. Great idea.
Loved your home ! Thank you for sharing with us.

Me too, I love character in a home. No cookie cutters. Your home is beautiful.

I have couches that are a year and half old and they get those balls too. I don’t have any pets. The fabric is similar to yours, kinda linen.
Lol.

Try maybe like a dovetail grey by Behr? I think... grey would be beautiful in your bedroom. It would tie in all the white you have... maybe grey slip covers for your couch?? That way you still are neutral. But can mix the beiges and whites and off whites. Just an idea....
Great info, Thank You! By the way, you have beautiful eyes.
Thank you!!
