Hey Sanjay, Can you please use the muse and play the Road Soundtrack song 2. Was written by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis. Be awesome to hear it do some dirty sad music.
I've listened to a lot of demos of the Muse. One thing I've noticed is that it's different in every video, like it's inspiring each musician in a different way. But for the most, it always sounds "Moogish". Thanks.
Neat, thoroughly enjoyed the Moog Muse full sound tour! It is an incredible synth. I always love listening to your creations and watching you play - effortless, smooth, just magical! Thank you, Sanjay C. Beautiful video.

Thanks dude! This is the video that pushed me to the purchase. I wanted to hear the lush pads. Why hasn’t any other demo showcased this? Very melodic, musical stuff
Love this demo and your playing as you highlight quite a bit. I just need your POV. Yes, it is a MOOG but many of us here could recreate these sounds on other synths we already own. By the time I checkout buying this, with tax, I am approaching $4000. What so groundbreaking here?
That’s not really how manufacturers think. They see a niche that people are buying into and want to make sure they have their own contribution to that niche so that people are buying their product and not someone else’s. This feature set and price range makes the Muse Moog’s first competitor with Sequential’s flagship line (Prophet 6, OB-6, Trigon).
@abdielgarcia3583 very interesting perspective. Honestly, I'm a musician and don't often pay attention to the business side of things. I still think that Moog has a history of leading the way and shouldn't focus on copying others for the sake of competing with others for market share. They need to remain unique. Maybe that goal of being unique in sound has changed since the company was sold.

I have heard the mod oscillator is extra unstable when used as a third oscillator. Is that your experience? How well does the mod osc track the keyboard?
Every synthesizer I have tried that isn't a Moog doesn't have the sound I want. I just want that "Moog" sound. Prophet 6 also has a good version of that type of sound but I think I want this for the extra voices and modulation options. I was looking at the Polybrute 12 and I just can't bring myself to buy something that isn't a Moog.
Thanks for the ample demo!! No one has give a clear answer on this yet: Can the Muse produce polyphonic aftertouch by other midi keyboard or synthesizer that produces polyphonic aftertouch? Or is it only channel aftertouch
I love Moog and so happy to see this synth released. However this synth seems to be sounding a little flat to me. Maybe it’s the mono feel of the demo.
I do have mixed feelings on the Muse, but honestly? It looks and reminds me of those classic big 80s synths, and I have been hoping for a while that someone would try to create a brand new synth inspired by those classic ones. The Muse just looks like a good old school workhorse with new abilities. The price do be a bit steep though.
There is a certain troll who is saying his Rev 2 betters the MUSE, he is also on record for saying the Cobalt8X is the best wave tables synth around and the Rev 2 is better than a Moog One. I wont mention his name but he surely is delusional. As for this video, it shows that a Rev 2 cannot do what this can do. Thx for the upload. EDIT: for reference, he's used your video to try to explain to people how much better a Rev 2 is, when the 2 synths are nothing alike.
@@BullyMaguire4ever he has now changed his mind and said he is buying one, I mean all he does is makes vids for click bait. I personally would not buy a MUSE, not because it doesn't sound great, but it's too big for my desk, I opted for a 3rd Wave module instead.
@@alexyoungbased rev2 oscillators and filters are inferior, plus, doesn’t have the cross mod or ring mod, or mixer overdrive. Rev2 is sterile compared to the Moog Muse.
The Muse is nice. But it's not on the level as the Moog One. The only thing it has on the One is the Overdrive lever. But you can do that with a Moog One by taking the sub-outs and going back into the audio in, then adjusting your parameters via the Adv mixer settings. The Moog One sounds way bigger. I of course say all of this as a Moog One owner and currently having a Muse to play around with... But don't get me wrong, def by a Muse if you feel it will suit you better. The Moog One is way more advanced, yet still easy to navigate. The Muse will give you tremendous everything at a lower price point.
The question is, Moog One is 3 times better than the Muse? Because the price difference is that. I heard someone talking about the heating of the Muse. Curious to know more about, cheers
Great demo, thanks. Honestly I feel like a Sub 37 and some good soft synths covers this for a lot less money, the Poly sounds didn't impress me that much
I’ve gone back and forth on this synth but came to the same conclusion. I didn’t hear any sounds on this that Diva can’t do. Moog is best at rich and deep sounding monos. This demo is also kind of boring, and lacks interesting voicing/chords. Listen to OB-6/X8 or UDO Super Gemini demos after this and it’s obvious there’s better sounding synths out there
Hi, sadly Moog muse had terribly disappointed me.. To turn this keyboard on, it needs more than one minute time (!).. Functions are not working well, lights are turning off and on rapidly with no meaning. The fastness of the envelope-generators are too slow.. Faster played chords doing unwanted fast arpeggios. I think, even the new software (1.2) didn't delete some major-bugs, so I have to warn about that.. De-tuning is a strong problem, even the tune-function does not work. The keyboard also was hanging after programming faster sequences.. The sound all in all was thin and not as fat as my old Mood products (Mini Moog, Memory Moog). My impression: this instrument is too digital controlled inside by very slow and worst .. often not complete processing. I was sending the Moog Muse back to the seller and I have to say, there is something terribly wrong with this new Moog and it even doesn't sound like a typical Moog at all !
One thing is the instrument, and the other thing is the keyboardist. You might not be inspired by the style of what it is suggested by the musician. That’s a big factor to take into account when you listen instruments. Having listened a ton of instruments (vintage, digital hybrid) I can assure you that this instrument is a monster. 🤖🤖
yeah it sounds like a bit like behringer synths id say the deepmind sounds better i dunno if it's modern components or what but these synths tend to have a thinner sound with sharper top end

Every demo I heard so far, I immediately wanted this synth to have an inbuilt chorus. Why, Moog, why? 😢 Great demo, btw. Love that it's very musical!
An analog chorus by the way
you can add chorus in many ways and it will work great i think...can't wait to get one someday 😍
use a effect pedal. ce-2, small clone
@@Bjrosiy Of course, but then it's not saved with the patch. And it adds weight and complexity to a live setup. It should have had an inbuilt chorus.

Is delay the only FX onboard? In other demos I hear tons of verb, is this all post fx, because if it is that is a little misleading.
The delay can be set up to produce a beautiful reverb effect.
