You then don't need that old column A anymore, right? When you delete it. All your answers turned to #REF!. How do you fix this? If you HIDE the column, you're okay. But I don't want to hide it and confuse other people who may work on the same sheet. How do you completely delete it?

Copy the new column into another column and paste with the values only option. That way you remove the replace function from the column.
