My husband wanted me to crochet a neck pillow for him I didn't know how to crochet any of a such this has been a success and fun to create and he also loves it thanks for the easy teaching 🥰💖👍🤗
I'm working on this cushion cover. But I have worked shell stitch and your 3 D Daisy on each end. I'm very happy with it. Thankyou for your excellent teaching 🇬🇧
Yeaaah so glad u r doing cushions. I'm on doing the tissue box cover at the min. I'm waiting patiently for u to do an oblong cushion cover 😁. I'm loving my grannies at the min x

Hooray. I have one and it's so hard to buy for these bolsters,so was either Sew, or crochet a cover ,and now ,crochet wins .👐👐 It looks great Anja , Thankyou.😊💕Amanda xx
Ah your an angel Anja. I've been looking for a cover for a bolster cushion I have. l popped on Google and this pops up. Thankyou. I enjoy your tutorials. Amanda 😊💕
I've tonnes of different colours of stylecraft, as I was going to do your granny stripped blanket, but I got bored ,so this is perfect, , you've saved the day yet again .😊💕
Nice. Thank you. I have been trying to figure out how to make a bolster. i imagined a rectangle sewn together lengthwise and two ends applied separately. This tube method seems so much easier. Wow. Now how to work in some decorative stitches also?... Much less of a hassle this way. tytyty
With the main body. Can you just chain two between each row an continue til the desired length? Have all my tails from other projects all tied up and balled up. Great video
So its Christmas Time :) Well at The Walmart tonight I noticed some cheap blankets rolled up for $2.50 each. I am thinking they would be perfect to make one of these bolsters with :) Any thoughts?
hi ophelia! excellent video, can't wait to try make this. do you have recommendations for an alternative to acrylic yarn? i'd prefer a natural material but don't know what would work... looking forward to hearing your suggestions :)
I was just wondering if this technique would work for covering the arm of an armchair? My grandmother is wanting me to make covers of some description and I'm at a complete loss as to what I can do to about it. Any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated! :)
@@OpheliaTalks okay thanks.. now another a question and I’ll not ask anymore lol what happens if the bolster pillow you are making it for is bigger do you just keep going with 7, 8,9, and 10 rows but changing up the double in those stitches? I hope that makes sense lol
I had reservations about the concept because I was thinking of the funky Aunty Grandma kind of toilet paper covers, but this is gorgeous and the colors actually looked quite sophisticated next to each other. I am a lifelong knitter but minimal crochet but I think I can do this. What is the hook size??
yes you can put stuffing but you need to make a cover around the stuffing so it doesn't come peeping through the holes in the crochet.... good luck!! xxx
you could overlap and add buttons, but you'd see that, so i would cut open the row you did to close up the cover and redo it after washing! does this help you? Thanks for watching!xxx
Ophelia Talks have finished making the "lid" which I ended up sewing in a velcro insert and elastic. Because my bolster was larger in size also needed to increase stitches but pretty pleased with end result😊loved your video here and look forward to viewing others😉

Great idea!! Thank you for watching Yorks Cottage on the Corner ! Anja xxx 💕🌈
Nice ! I need to make myself a new pillow (which I'll fill with soft stuffing, and not very full), so what yarn would you recommend, please ?
Hello there, I use mainly Stylecraft Special DK, but you could use anything you desire, cotton is also nice, hope this helps, Anja x
How much weight of yarns should be of one crochet pillow cover
Why the double crochets in the beginning? Does it just help you to build stitches faster?
lt so nice color is this cotton yarn what size hook
hi ophelia! excellent video, can't wait to try make this. do you have recommendations for an alternative to acrylic yarn? i'd prefer a natural material but don't know what would work... looking forward to hearing your suggestions :)
anything would work really, cotton, bamboo, wool...
@@OpheliaTalks thank you! i'd also like to make my own bolster pillow, do you have any advice or instructions for a beginner?
I was just wondering if this technique would work for covering the arm of an armchair? My grandmother is wanting me to make covers of some description and I'm at a complete loss as to what I can do to about it. Any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated! :)
I'd probably make it the same but instead of going in the round for the body. I'd go back and forth leaving an opening of about 3 or 4 clusters.
Hi.. Thank you for the lovely video.. I want to ask how do you remove the cover washing as it's all stitched up?
Make sure you can undo the row that you attach it all together with....
Thank you very much.. I have completed the cover was waiting for your reply so that i join the other circle.. Thanks once again
What was the weight of most of your yarns that you used so I can know amd the yarn needle you used???
The yarn is a DK, so weight 3/light worsted, and l use a 3.50mm hook, l hope this helps Heather, Anja x
@@OpheliaTalks okay thanks.. now another a question and I’ll not ask anymore lol what happens if the bolster pillow you are making it for is bigger do you just keep going with 7, 8,9, and 10 rows but changing up the double in those stitches? I hope that makes sense lol

I probably used a 3.5, ooh, I never thought about the toilet roll cover, but now that you mention it! LOL!!
How do you wash this?
This is so pretty. What size hook are you using for this cover? I have to say, Anja, that although I'm not a cat person, your cat is beautiful.
Cindy Kinney ...I agree
Kitty is lovely 😺😊
Cindy Kinney, it looks like a small hook. I think I heard Anya mention a 3.5 mm, if I’m not mistaken 😊 You’re right this does really look pretty 🤗
Ophelia, do you have any written patterns for these tutorials? Thanks! They're awesome!
No unfortunately not, just the video! Show me your makes on my Facebook group Ophelia Talks Crochet! Thanks for watching! Anja xxx
I have the same cat same colour British short hair his name is JJ
Can you put a zipper on a crochet cushion casing?
i do believe so there are hints and tips out there.... maybe try pinterest and try and find some tips that way?

If I don’t have a pillow to go in side can I put stuffing
yes you can put stuffing but you need to make a cover around the stuffing so it doesn't come peeping through the holes in the crochet.... good luck!! xxx
Ok would it work if I do half double as well
I think so!!
Did it work? (I don't have a pillow either )
Norma Craft ya I just use a small hook

Am just about to the end of the tube but wanted to be able to remove the cover....any ideas/suggestions appreciated😊

Ophelia Talks thanks...have decided to make the end as you did bit instead of buttons am putting in piece of calico with velcro attached😊
