Uncle grandpa throwing the hotdog away carelessly could mean that the showrunners knew something was lost but admit they don't care, or more likely that despite uncle grandpa's success and attachments to it, it still had to end with no regard for artistry, or it could be a reference to the producers perhaps? I don't know why the show ended. It could also be a reference to how the show itself broke convention in style, it's absurdism being kind of a middle finger to the industry. As for the kid eating the sandwich... perhaps they knew the characters felt static and it means the the show was ultimately "eaten" by it's target demographic, children, who've also been integral in many episodes since the beginning. Children don't find character development and changing overarching narratives that interesting, they need simplicity and consistency. Ultimately this could have affected both the writing and artstyle; if the creators thought like this at least. The absurdism was toned down, the characters remained static, etc. Or a reference to how the uncaring maw of the cartoon industry is ready to turn on anything any day. It's just a guess though.
I'm proud of myself that I moderately remember everything said about uncle grandpa in this vid, thanks RSG for making me open a old door through my childhood.
I don't bother looking into what's considered the most hated animated shows these days. but at the same time i'm not surprised this show gets hated on like you described briefly. I agree with you in that this show is good, almost a sleeper hit I want to say. I just felt most of the hate towards this show is just from jaded man children who hate every new show that comes out and thus shouldn't be taken that seriously.
Uncle grandpa may be a 12 level entity but HE LOSES NEXT TO MY UNCLE GRANDMA! BEND OVER A DESK AND PREPARE TO TAKE THIS LASER HAMMER! SHE EXISTS IN 27 DIMENSIONS.
I actually really liked Uncle Grandpa… when I was seven. I still do like it, but all it really is, is dumb fun. It’s white noise for the mind of a seven year old to be preoccupied while they eat cereal. 9:59 brudda, that is literally a fucking joke. It’s the equivalent of an anime character getting flustered by a pretty girl that they like, but playing it off like they don’t, as a joke, which establishes that they like the person, only for it never to come up again, making it even more of a fucking joke. Also, is the episode with the fucking riddle really about embracing the weirdness, because the Ocean answer was still fucking wrong. Mainly because the Ocean still has a figurative middle. When someone is stuck in a desert or just living there, we say that they are in the middle of nowhere. Likewise, when someone is in the ocean, they are in the middle of nowhere, or in other words, the figurative middle of the ocean. This means that Gus could have literally said anything and it would have been right. Uncle grandpa’s answer would be equal wrong.
Didn't you say you were gonna make something on cowboy bebop at some point? I'd be interested to hear your opinion on it considering it's pretty much the only anime I've seen that was remotely well written. Maybe I just hallucianted you saying that tho tbh.
Better than most shows even though it got worse and worse. Still better than invincible tbh, and uncle grandpa can get a kiss Ngl what a pookie. I'm being serious
I loved uncle grandpa. Same with MAD tv. Idk why they got canceled. Same for Clarence too. Was it too annoying? If anything, better than Annoying orange and that awful TTGO lol
I don’t understand how you could call treasure hunters one of your favorite episodes in all of television. I watched it the second you brought it up and then I listened to what you had to say about it. I honestly do not get it. The whole thing is predictable and none of the characters say anything funny. Mr Gus is just the straight man as usual and pizza Steve and uncle grandpa are just SpongeBob and Patrick. It’s the identical dynamic in that SpongeBob episode where they get lost in the kelp forest. The punchline at the end where Gus answers the riddle is also really obvious. I understand you have nostalgia for the show and I do too a little, but come on, any early episodes from regular show, adventure time, amazing world of gumball or any of the contemporary shows kick Uncle Grandpas ass.
and I thought you were based, asking this question is cringe, even for clickbait, I bet your next video title will be like "Was Problem Solverzz even Kino?" or "Could Goku live in Secret Mountain Fort Awesome?" it's just low-brow unintellectual slop the community already knows the answer too but you're just gem farming from coal miners, go make a "in minecraft as a elemental cactus 100 days" video, same level of discussion, of course problem solverzz is kino, no, Goku can't survive in secret mountain fort awesome he isn't able to survive radical radiation
Hey RSG 2 I just got around to this video but I'm gonna just say. Absolutely fucking not. Not by any possible stretch of imagination, not even the most talented mental gymnast on the face of the planet could ever attempt to argue this.
Cool video, but can uncle grandpa defeat 30,000,000,000 Gokus? Thought so.
Yeah he probably could
spongebob vs goku referrence detected
yeah
But can 30,000,000,000 Goku's beat uncle grandma?
But uncle grandpa will be hard to him to kill 30B gokus

RSG 2 paved the way for the Uncle Grandpa revival.
Uncle Grandpa is one of those shows that people say is bad and stupid, but when you sit down and watch it, it's actually very creative and enjoyable.
Show would've been 10x better if at the end he said "I think I miss my wife"

Good to know. I didn't watch Uncle Grandpa when it was releasing new episodes, but I've seen plenty of clips online more recently.
50 ep in s1 !?
No wonder they drop the quality in s2. It’s just so many.
But what happens to media nowadays? They barely get 10 ep in s1
Maybe because of longer episodes
Maturing is realizing uncle grandpa is tough
It really makes you feel like Uncle Grandpa
