Exhaust fumes will rust out galvanized steel in one season, I did it and that's how I know.
IF it is a good idea, use stainless steel, and the mesh should be 1/8" or so because bees and wasps will try to build nests
in it during the summer.
I still think a bee could fit in there, unless you used two pieces and criss crossed them.
They can. I have the same size above in the video and had ALOT of bees trying to build a nest inside. You have to go smaller for sure.
