As a dairy farmer for 45 years.... I never felt married to the cows. I felt it was my job ! In those 45 years I missed not being in the barn 10 times. Hernia surgery . Realize.......farming is a vacation ! Beautiful lands.......beautiful cattle... wild life... snow.....rain ......hot and cold. No need for a vacation ! Its all in front of you ! If you need to divert a bit away from the farm scene... take up rifle shooting.... along with many other good habits ! Life is inspiring !!!!!
I would love to be at fairs all week. It's hard to do that when you have other animals to care for. Same with cow shows. I'll be traveling for a cow show and gone for 3 ish days. If someone isn't taking care of the farm I can't go
