    I was worried you would let the flag touch the ground. Very proud to see Patriots respect our flag.
    Great job 🙏😪

    I'm wanting to install a 40' fiberglass flagpole but I'm concerned about how much sway or lean the pole has in windy conditions (20-25 mph). Can you comment on this?

      @davejoyal9286  Год назад

      Fiberglass flagpoles are meant to sway more then metal poles as theyre more flexible. Check the wind rating for the pole you’re interested in. If it’s rated for that flag, it’s fine. My flagpole is rated at 120 mph. I don’t take the flag down in any storms ever.

      Wanted to update: the poles don’t sway hardly at all in 20-25 mph winds. Last Friday we had a day long of gusts of 60-70 mph with 40+ mph sustained winds. Plus, it was raining and a soaking wet flag weighs a lot more. There was no damage to the pole, the 6x10 flag got pretty shredded though. The winds pulled apart 6 rows of stitching on the fly end in some spots and a couple stripes started to separate. I should have taken the flag down, but I didn’t expect the winds to be as bad.

      @@davejoyal9286 Thanks Dave. I usually take my flag down if it's going to blow harder than 25 mph. I have an old aluminum pole that will "sway" about a foot at the top in 25 mph winds and I was just curious if fiberglass will "sway" mare than that in the same conditions.
      Thanks for taking the time to answer questions.

      @@michealremm6264 at those wind speeds, the fiberglass pole likely won’t sway at all. They’re made to withstand 120 mph winds. You can leave your flag flying at those wind speeds without issue.

    How long have you had the 6x10? I remember the 5x8

      I normally always fly a 6x10. I only have one video with a 5x8 and don’t fly the smaller flag as often.

      @@davejoyal9286 It looks great. I'm still debating on what size to get and where to get my next flagpole. The cheapest internal halyard I've seen is the V Cleat from Colonial Flags. The 20ft is about $500.00 but the truck is stationary which I find to be weird for an internal halyard flagpole

    • @davejoyal9286
      @davejoyal9286  3 года назад

      @@MrBiasJoe you can always change out the truck. I replaced all of the parts on my flagpole. It’s fiberglass but I used a rotating aluminum truck as they look better and are more durable.
      How strong are those v cleat poles? We’re you planning a 5x8 on the 20’?

    • @MrBiasJoe
      @MrBiasJoe 3 года назад

      @@davejoyal9286 Right and less stress on the flag as well. I didn't even think of changing out the truck(s)

    • @davejoyal9286
      @davejoyal9286  3 года назад

      @@MrBiasJoe if the top isn’t threaded to accept the truck, just get a pole top adapter in the size of the top of the flagpole and screw right into that. Besides less stress on the flag, the flag looks so much nicer always flying away from the pole.
