Just admit it. The real reason why the Wild brought this back as a 3rd jersey is because they still have a bunch of light green TRIA patches left over from last year.
They should have said from the jump, that if the Reverse Retros sell well/loved by fans then teams may consider them as alternate jerseys. That would have made it so much better. They dint promise the jerseys will return but the do say theres a chance in this scenario which is all they needed to do.
I like everything but the logo, I think they missed the opportunity to have a logo in the style of the North Stars with a W and the Wilds star on the top right corner of the W
The worst part about it too is the Minnesota Wild team store, the Hockey Lodge, raised the prices on these. The reverse retros were $190 and these are $230, absolutely ridiculous.
Excellent choice by Minnesota. I said to “Hockey zone” he agreed and liked. The adds “like the nba” most ridiculous ad that bettman has made. I feel for all jersey collectors including a beginner like me.
See, now I'm in this position as a person who owns a Kaprizov Reverse Retro 2.0 jersey, actually ordered it on the day they were released as a matter of fact. I'm in this mental tug of war of should I get it because its a "new" Minnesota Wild jersey (which I really love the captains letters on the Minnesota state like that, should be a staple going forward), or do I not get it because the only difference is the patch on the shoulder. It's not like I'll have a limited time to get them, because its now part of the official uniform line-up, so I can choose to wait until 2024 to get one. I just don't know what to do. Maybe a Christmas present? I was really hoping that a red jersey would comeback as we haven't seen a primary red jersey from the Wild since the switch from Reebok to Adidas in 2016-2017. Bit of a missed opportunity, at least it wasn't as bad as the new Winnipeg Jets jersey...sheesh.
As a Wild fan I’m bummed. This is a great jersey as a RR but in my mind isn’t a Wild jersey. They have a ton of things they could have done for a full time alternate but instead didn’t try to make something new.
I miss the Minnesota alternate in green Reebok. Also the home red with the circle logo. Not a fan of the subway colors and the tria patch at all. How would you fools feel about the timber wolves parading around in purple and yellow next season
Having moved up here to MN this year and talking to some people it seems they just love old stuff, not just jersey specific. It’s a very old culture. Which sucks because I’d love to see some new, modern, futuristic take on the Wild uniform. It still weirds me out the Wild want to pay homage to Dallas’ team.
Long time Minnesota North Stars fan here... started cheering for them back in 1975. I don't see this jersey as homage to Dallas' team. That team stopped being the North Stars the day they left (still bitter at Norm Green!). The Dallas Stars never used this color scheme (at least not as their main jerseys). So, I feel like the 'homage' with this jersey is to vintage Minnesota NHL hockey. The Stars are the Dallas team, but the North Stars with their classic green and gold will always belong 100% to Minnesota (in spirit if not on the ice!).
No, its not the same. The 25th anniversary hopefully will give the people what they want, a Minnesota Wild throwback. Last I checked the wild RR 2.0. Is available on cool hockey.
I just wanted to say that I love your videos. I know almost nothing about hockey*, but I love watching your channel. Thanks for the great content! (And I'm hoping that Arizona will decide to move here to Houston. I'm primed to become a big fan should that happen.)
this is awesome, they got to go back full to the North Stars colors 🙂at least they got rid of those horrible awful christmas tree jerseys..red should not be in any Minny jersey..just gold and green
i wish they'd stop using the north stars branding tbh. i think the christmas colors are much better and suit logo much better. it's a hot take but i find it disrespectful to the current franchise that they prefer the old one.
I completely agree, I'm so tired of the NS crap. They need to embrace their own history, especially considering they've basically been around for as long as the NS have.
@@AtlasVirtuethe only way i'd use those colors is if they could have the original logo, but i still very much prefer the current scheme. like you said look to the future and stop chasing the past.
Strongly disagree. The North Stars brand was one of the nicest in pro sports history. The Wild name is the worst in North American pro sports with an inconsistent colour scheme. The only good thing about the Wild is the logo which looks great in green and yellow-gold.
@@andrebeck i respect what you have to say. i think the north stars branding would absolutely work with the og logo (sadly it belongs to dallas) but it doesn't do it for me with the current logo and RR2.0. i'm not a wild fan (or dallas) fwiw but i think should they should embrace their current traditions. it's also some of the more unique branding in sports. i'm surprised wild fans wouldn't be disgusted that their beloved team shares colors with one of their sports cities bigger rivals in the green bay packers.
The add looks stupid DUH! all the adds look stupid, at least the wild don't have a cartoon tire on their helm like the hawks. Of course the NHL is deceitful it's nothing but a cash grab these day's. I was watching some adds last week and a Hockey game broke out.
The thing is, the Wild fans wanted these jerseys to be worn more than one year. Some people want both RRs to be our permanent set.
🗑🔥🤢🤮
@@mikes7446you’re kidding, right? These are a great way of reincorporating the old North Stars look with the current team.
Funny how i just ordered a RR2 just a week before this announcement. So it's cool that I'm not missing much from this
The State of Hockey patch was not on the Winter Classic jersey, but it was Stadium Series, sir.
Just got my Kaprizov just yesterday, looks sick in person !!!
Just admit it. The real reason why the Wild brought this back as a 3rd jersey is because they still have a bunch of light green TRIA patches left over from last year.

heritage classics are out! waiting on you bro lol
Excellent points, man! You are 100% right on!
I like everything but the logo, I think they missed the opportunity to have a logo in the style of the North Stars with a W and the Wilds star on the top right corner of the W
And now it doesn’t have the orange nhl crest the RR’s had which I like better cuz I’m a sucker for nostalgia lol
I’ve wanted an actual alternate for so long
And then we don’t even get anything related to the Wild
Honestly this should be the Primary jerseys
No, just no
Nah
The worst part about it too is the Minnesota Wild team store, the Hockey Lodge, raised the prices on these. The reverse retros were $190 and these are $230, absolutely ridiculous.
230 for this fulgy jersey???
The Minnesota Wild have 6 guys from Minnesota on the roster
Well spoken.
To your final point the kings and aps need to bring their reverse retros as alternates just so i can buy them

It's still our hockey history
It just reminds me of Subway Sandwiches, so do the reverse retros.
NEW? It’s the same as last year!
The yellow on your jersey looks darker than the one on the player
lol especially buying jacked scalper prices

It crazy that the wild are using another team’s history as if it’s theirs lol

110%.🎯👏
They don't even wear gold. It's yellow.
All I see is Subway.
They should have added black to make it look like their '90s set. This is just a lazy copy of the Reverse Retro, so many won't buy it.
