I'm so happy the production quality finally matches the quality of their writing. So many of their albums were so overly compressed. The mastering on this new album is fantastic.
If we’re being honest it could be a lot better especially in the guitar department but it’s better than the last 2 albums for sure
Yeah Walk The Sky was great from a writing and production perspective but the master on that is just awful. The kick and snare really over power everything out. I don’t blame the producer, I blame whoever they got to master the record. If that hadn’t happened I would listen to it more! I was hoping the second version of the album they released would have fixed all that but nope!

Mix on the new album is massive. Especially on good speakers and FLAC tracks. Drums and bass are fucking rumbling while still retaining perfect clarity, guitars are tight and punchy, and Myles' vocals are piercing through exactly where you want them without being too compressed and overlayered.
Whoever engineered this album should be on good money.

Alter Bridge have to be one of the most consistent bands when it comes to the quality of their music. Some bands divert and follow trends, try to go mainstream and loose a lot of old fans, but not AB. You could literally listen to Broken Wings right after Holiday and think they were on the same album

from my personal standpoint, this album succeeds where ghost's impera failed. AB showed that you can grow and evolve and become more radio friendly and reach bigger audiences WITHOUT compromising your art and alienating old fans. this is what evolution without selling out looks like! (very personal take so don't crucify)

@@thyop89 I loved the first 3 albums! Doom metal with dark humor and prog influences. But then they kinda lost their way. The world doesn't need more 80s hair metal tribute bands and that's unfortunately all the latest album is :(

Myles Kennedy is one of the greatest singers of all of times.
Well, with Layne and Cornell no longer alive, I don't see anybody even in the same league as Myles. Usually singers get worse with age, and have to downtune to hit the key. Myles just sounds better and better as he gets older.

They're criminally underrated in the States. They're widely popular in Europe. I saw them in concert in a small club in Allentown, PA when their first CD was released and they blew the roof off the place....awesome show! I'll never understand why they're not household names in the US...just makes no damn sense to me with the dreck they call music today.

Met Mark Tremonti in Chicago! Most humble guitarist ever, gave me his signed guitar pick, these guys sound clean yet punchy on stage and musicianship at highest level. They are the next Metallica in terms of the musical impact.

Followed them since forming after the demise of Creed, every album just got better and better. Pawns and Kings is absolutely banging, not one bad track and this is up there as one of my fav's.

Alter Bridge are an amazing band and I have had the privilege of seeing them many times at the Download Festival UK, Mark Tremonti is a an amazing guitarist and kills them PRS guitars with his playing, but I have a one off vintage PRS no birds on this one just moons, I would love see him see him put his riffing skills to, it was made in the early 80's and sounds the nutzs. If you want it please comment 😉🤘
