Please be aware many listing on Aliexpress say shipping from US but then they still ship from China and just say we found cheaper shipping when you contact them. I had to purchase from around 5 different suppliers before finding one that ships from US. Make sure the shipping says USPS.
Oberlo is useless. Be aware of the paid ACTORS and so called sponsored fake gurus. You will get hurt with this method. SHIPPING from China can be 4 weeks to even 8 weeks. For inexpensive items that is why too much.

For us it confirms the way we dropship: Make it crystal clear what the shipping times are (product page, shipping page, order confirmation page) and be a customer service hero. i just spoke to a customer who ordered an item. Due to Chinese New Year the shipping times are even longer so I proactively ask her whether it is okay for her to still buy it. She came back, said yes and was very thankful for this proactive action.

This was not the point of the video, it was to state that Dropshipping will have longer shipping times but esentially you can get away with them as customers don't care as much as we think. If you want faster shipping the answer is to pre purchase x amounts of the product and keep them on hand which of course requires up front collateral .
I sell on ebay, amazon, fb marketplace. Dropshipping on shopify and dealing with customers is not so bad if you keep in touch and let them know what's going on with their order. You guys need to deal with people on ebay or FB, or even the crazy rules on amazon itself. Then Shopify won't seem so bad. The customer just wants to know how long it will take, if it takes a month, then write that clearly on your listing. make sure they know that it takes 30 days, don't hide it. If they buy it and understand what you told them, then they can't complain. If they do complain, try to be curteous and message back quick, assuring them that their order is on their way. The people who won't wait 30 days for the item simply won't buy it from you in the first place.
If your product isn't garbage, then they won't care so much. If you hide shipping times, don't update tracking, and then send them a shitty product, things won't go well for you

So if I want to sell the same product to USA as well as UK customers, how can I add the product to shopify so the customer has both options, and the customer can also see shipping time depending on which country they are ordering from. Do I have to create multiple entries of that product for each country it can be shipped to? What will the customer see when they order from a country I do not ship to? Thanks you!
By experience, shipping times DO matter. I have many customers saying that they don't want to wait that long (2-3 weeks). Then, those estimated times have to be correct, unfortunatly often they're NOT and orders take longer. This is also due to custom clearance and processing times by the local post offices. ePacket is only good for shipping orders to the US. I would exclude other countries. With that being said, I encourage dropshipping but it's note all roses! BTW: where's the oberlo Chrome extension link? Thanks!
as an Eshopper I always look at the price of shipping and shipping times. a few times I didn't even get my packages, and the online business refused to answer my emails. for me, shipping prices are a big deal. imagine paying $50USD for something that weighs a pound, and was very small, say 8" long. very silly.

Hi Jessica , epacket is available for around 40 countries with different shipping rates. For example it could be free for the United States. 1.5 $ to Canada, 3$ to australia , 5$ to Brazil ,etc... how do I cover (calculate rates and include them in Shopify) these epacket shipping rates when building my store using the pricing method (product price + shipping cost)x3 ? I want to drop ship for many countries other than United States
The only way to really solve this would be to order in bulk from China, and ship the products yourself via couriers. People are starting to realize that they can order themselves from Aliexpress or wish or whatever, if the shipping time is the same as what you offer. Also, I have palced a few personal orders from Aliexpress, where the order came in 20 days late, so it is not reliable at all. Sellers over there are hard to reach and do business with.
Because of shipping times, I kept getting claims on PayPal and Etsy etc because people didn’t receive their stuff so then I had to tell them it was from China and it took about two months to arrive from Ali express. Let’s be honest people will never buy again, was it worth the hassle and relying to every PayPal claim?

This is something that aliexpress must fix not the dropshipper. This is 2020. Shipping needs an overhaul in global ecomomy and ecommerce. Customs has to be cleaned up. Even Ebay helps when customers want a refund even before their item arrives - even in my listing it says handling 5 days and shipping is 1 -3 weeks. and no refunds as it is health and hygiene underwear/swimsuits/gadgets they still want Amazon time and warranty coverage. They just do not read.

Hi, there. I still think the shipping window for most is about 5 business days up to 10 which is too weeks. After that an order will be called rancid because the assumption is its been in traffic and travelling for more than 10 days. So somehow, I do think that there are logistics issues and problems that go unresolved since waiting a month for an order to arrive is also testing the customers patients and risking such things as wellness. Again, keep in mind the products are travelling for 2 weeks. This also targets memory, while with automation none will forget and everyone is tracking...guess what, they will not order more than one product from you even though they trust you because its much easier to visit a local store and include that on a shopping list and then do the running around. The whole issue with shopping on the internet..is we want the product soon, I'm not gonna do the running around etc..but after waiting two weeks...sorry, people will go back to running around and perhaps spend more even though it may be an inconvenience or its not out of the way. In otherwords, people will skip the running around to have more free time...but if the travel and shipping is longer...they go back to their old more convenient routines which excludes the online shopping.
The truth is, that 90% of the dropshippers “hide” their shipping times so customers don’t even know they have to wait for ages for their product unless they really start digging on the webshop. They also outsource their customer service so they don’t have to deal with all the complaints themselves.
that's just not true as this causes high refund rates which leads to payment providers holding your money and suspending their payment gateway services to you, leaving you with no other options. Dropshippers must address shipping times regardless if it looks good or bad or else ur risking the entirety of the whole store.

Thank you for this great video...shipping times are by far my biggest complaint. I think realistically the best advice is to order test products. I am guilty of uploading products to my store that I've never ordered only to find out the shipping times take forever. I still keep the products on my store after I found out the shipping takes too long, but I mark it as sold out with an affiliate link to buy it on Amazon (and an affiliate disclaimer in fine print of course.) If anyone needs help send me a message I'd be happy to offer solutions!
This is my concern as well, try to find a fulfillment center to help you some require you to have at least 50 orders a week to work with plus they offer better prices.
This is insightful but EPACKET even EMS is mostly gone from Aliexpress unfortunately now and Aliexpress Standard is everywhere. It'll just be longer shipping times for my customers. Say for instance, you're running FB ads for different epacket regions. When you get an order, do you check where the order is to and then go to AliExpress to find the product ordered in a region where the order came from? However, typically we don't see merchants attempting this as it takes away from the automation that our Chrome Extension provides. Ive found aliexpress standard shipping to be faster than ePacket least in the UK dunno if that's the same for everyone? Averaging 9-11 days. You should do a video on how too deal with complaints during Chinese new year..lol causing chaos to my shipments..

With the Oberlo Chrome extension, I don't get any options for Currency or Epacket or any other option, only to "Add to Import List". They must have changed it but those options would have been great!

Once you're on a unique product listing, you'll see the option to add to the import list (screenshot.click/31-30-nj5sn-gfxyz.jpg). You can be upfront with your customers and explain that there may be delays due to the holiday, or simply mention that there may be temporary delays with shipments, but that regular processing and delivery times are expected to resume shortly. Hm ... on my searches on aliexpress the drop down menu for selecting warehouses doesn't appear, probably because of no local warehouses in EU :-/

I still keep the products on my store after I found out the shipping takes too long, but I mark it as sold out with an affiliate link to buy it on Amazon (and an affiliate disclaimer in fine print of course.) This is my concern as well, try to find a fulfillment center to help you some require you to have at least 50 orders a week to work with plus they offer better prices.
This is insightful but EPACKET even EMS is mostly gone from Aliexpress unfortunately now and Aliexpress Standard is everywhere. It'll just be longer shipping times for my customers. I need more information on this update because increasing my prices to me UPS or DHL ridiculously high shipping rates isn't profitable for my shop. Welp! 😕

Say for instance, you're running FB ads for different epacket regions. When you get an order, do you check where the order is to and then go to AliExpress to find the product ordered in a region where the order came from? Like the example used in the video, would you look for that product with a warehouse in France to be shipped with a faster shipping time from a vendor different from the one used on your store? Hi, there! You definitely could do this, and you would be going above and beyond to offer your customers a first-rate experience! However, typically we don't see merchants attempting this as it takes away from the automation that our Chrome Extension provides. When you choose the aliexpress standard shipping option, on the actual parcel the customer recieves do they see the ‘aliexpress standard shipping’ label ?

With the Oberlo Chrome extension, I don't get any options for Currency or Epacket or any other option, only to "Add to Import List". They must have changed it but those options would have been great!
Hey, there! You should still see these options when you're on the collections page or search results page of AliExpress (screenshot.click/31-30-ak7jh-nxi28.jpg). Once you're on a unique product listing, you'll see the option to add to the import list (screenshot.click/31-30-nj5sn-gfxyz.jpg). Hi, please talk about drop shipping to Africa, East Africa, we don't even have epacket shipping option for most of these countries, just singpore mail, china post, couriers like this. How can I handle long shipping times? Also almost I haven't seen warehouses for aliexpress in this countries.

The answer is because we are to small and can’t afford to purchase a wholesale amount. We need dropshipping to get the funds to stock.

You can be upfront with your customers and explain that there may be delays due to the holiday, or simply mention that there may be temporary delays with shipments, but that regular processing and delivery times are expected to resume shortly. Where you choose to display this information is up to you. Shipping updates can be shared on social media, in a banner on your store, on your shipping and/or FAQ pages, or a combination of those options. I hope this helps! Do I have to choose one target market to sell (such as ONLY the US) or do I have the option to choose multiple markets to which I can sell products through one Shopify store I have?
