The US do not recognise Nikah, so they are not legally married in the US and therefore do have to be married again. His concern is one they do actually make it legal is that she can gain from the divorce if she doesn't sign a prenup. As for the first house... I don't know. It depends.
A messy house can mean lots of different things.
I know from experience that depression can make taking care of your own house very, VERY difficult, sometimes even impossible; so at first a little part of me would be worried about him. But this is SO NOT THE CASE that I would have felt probably upset, for these reasons:
- Like you said in one of your previous videos, if your life partner doesn't even make the effort to adjust and prepare your daily environment to you, after a long journey, after so many months of distance, well, it hurts, and it questions the meaning of your relationship;
- Like you said now, too, the fact that he can't manage money would be a problem. Something to work on, together, of course, in a relationship... But I would be worried for our future. It takes two full adults to have a relationtship, not to mention a marriage.
- His attitude was abysmal; when he quoted the Qur'an to justify the fact that he was (pretending) living in a dirty, collapsing house, adding that it was all part of the female partner's duty, and that he was waiting for her to clean all the mess, I would have gotten very offended and furious. Now, I don't know the Qur'an, I ABSOLUTELY don't want to judge anyone's religions and personal views, but this justification and his defensive attitude were unacceptable. Not to mention that he totally gave me all "I'm a believer, but I'll just follow those specific lines of my religion's holy scryptures that are convenient for me, my laziness and my egoism" vibes.

I cannot imagine how someone could think that this is a good way to start a marriage. He should be joyfully welcoming his bride with some gifts and maybe a romantic honeymoon suite for the first few nights. (Incidentally, they are actually already married. Marriage is called "nikah" in Islam.) The US do not recognise Nikah, so they are not legally married in the US and therefore do have to be married again. His concern is one they do actually make it legal is that she can gain from the divorce if she doesn't sign a prenup. The prenup should have been his first move rather than acting like a total dickhead, she is just going to be more stubborn about signing the prenup now.

I'm not really on his side, but i can understand him a little. Like, he is rich and there is no way he never had a girlfriend. Honestly I think his concept and execution of giving a test doesn’t work out in this scenario. It would’ve been more appropriate to test her like in the beginning of their relationship but he wanted it to be known that he was wealthy when it benefited him in order to get her or appear like the best choice. It would’ve been way better if he played down what he did or wore etc, to seem less well off. Instead he did it backwards when the test in theory is least efficient.
