Seeing all of these poor dogs packed into that shelter is heartbreaking. I’m glad the rescuers were able to get the one pup out and help him. We humans have done a damn piss poor job of managing this beautiful jewel of a planet and its inhabitants. I just get so angry and sad.

An animal shelter that take such poor care of the dogs should be closed immediately. You can't let a dog live like that. This makes me so angry. This poor guy was very lucky...but 1299 dogs are not.
@zenon7094 you right, conditions are poor but what you don't know is that not every country in earth is the US and these conditions are probably the best this shelter can do with the money and volunteers they have. The world is not north America and western Europe.....

And this did not seem to be an isolated case. An shelter in which the animal is treated the same or even worse than before. Sometimes the animals were taken of the streets so they do not spoil the landscape...without even the slightest intention of taking adequate care of them. And Bosnia Herzigovina is not just any failed state in Africa...after all, they want to join the EU and Nato

These people return every day to do what little they can actually do in a situation where animals are being abandoned en masse through no fault of anyone's but war.
You should learn a little of what you speak before you spout judgement. From the sounds of it you certainly wouldn't be one of those people. 😤
Well I personally think that it was way worse where these dogs were rescued from. It is a lot for these poor people to take care of. As you can see the dogs are so matted that they must be put under anesthesia, which costs money. So if your left with having to make the choice between food or anesthesia, well, food, will win each time. Your comment is quite harsh and insulting. If you want to be more helpful & less criticizing, then donate your own time or a bit of money to the cause.
Extreme ty for rescuing all the dogs that you have. I really hope that you continue to do it. I hope that you eventually save all those dogs. Really wish that there was alot more good and kind hearted people like yourself. All the best.

Thank you for doing this for him. I had poodles for 30 years. I know about mats. I can’t imagine how he even managed to walk around with the mats he had. My poodles were cut in the puppy or summer cut. The only mats they ever had were on their fluffy ears and tails. I am so happy for him.
