It’s not cheap? $54k for small truck! Ford Maverick is mUch cheaper and better suited for narrow roads in Mexico. BYD needs to do better at studying markets. I can’t see volume sales of the shark in Mexico. And man in country like Mexico you want well established service network for when you take trips. BYD will struggle with this one. They don’t understand trucks.
My lightning was only $39900 and I got a $7500 tax credit.

@@ryanwalters6184 yep EVs aren’t selling in USA even when super cheap. Hyundai has knocked $7500 off their EVs making Kona electric about $25k and they still can’t sell volume. If BYD were in USA the shark would need to sell for under $30k . Not $54K. BYD is smoking dope to thin they will sell a small truck for $54K

It’s $54K in Mexico for a small truck. Hardly affordable! Sad😢. Can’t see it selling well in Mexico. Ford maverick is a much more affordable hybrid at half the cost of the BYD trucklet.

Towing needs to step up to 3000kg if not 3500kg to compete with Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi Triton and most other utes/pickups in this segment
Depends, do people really need that heavy tows? Fine, if you need, just spend more money then, for what you spend , BYD has excellent value, and also, try ranger and hilux with full 3.5t tow and also carries passengers at back, full load ... How far it can runs lol

This BYD is Over priced small trucklett sold in Mexico for $54k. Talking about not knowing a market. Ford will kill them with maverick hybrid which is half the cost and has established dealer and service network. Suspect they will need to slash prices on the shark to sell any volume. $54k for something The size of a ranger ainT going to cut it in Mexico.
