I hate that app, it pop up almost everytime, but i must admit steam and discord also do the same but at least both are legit and still useful. Norton appear just in the same day i bought my laptop
The part at 1:45 is where I run into trouble with my laptop. For some reason the app keeps opening in too small of a window, and it isn't resizable. The window cuts off halfway through the 'a' in 'Uninstall' at the top line, and the window is too squat for me to see the tickbox or the Uninstall button below it. Would anyone happen to have any suggestions on resizing or otherwise manipulating the uninstaller window's size? That might not be the only issue though, since the bubbles I see in the video beside the two uninstall options are not present for me.
I have a new Acer desktop and this Norton / Mcafee stuff was getting out of control with pester popups and phony virus alerts. I followed your directions, and the uninstall screen wouldn't even show the entire screen where I was apparently supposed to answer another question. Now it reboots to Bing, instead of Chrome. What a pain. Update: I finally went into the registry and renamed some things with the word Norton in them. We'll see what happens.
Nice video but you should also tell people to clear their registry... Norton etches itself deep into your computer more than you realize and it is very annoying
It doesn't Uninstall Norton Identy Safe I've tried this method first - didn't work. Bitdefender can't install and can't uninstall the app. Norton Removal Tools neither. No one in RUclips seems to have a video for this.
@@mino770 Geez, trying to remember. Go to either of the Program files folders to find the Norton one. Do a Ctrl-Alt-Del to open running tasks and End Tasks for Norton Identity Safe. Then you can manually delete the files. This is only if the Removal tools have not worked.
@@mofrakker Yeah, I’m a retard, I forgot to uninstall the browser extensions. I already went to program files and deleted the Norton shit there. I think there was some in program data too, don’t quote me on that. Thanks for the reply tho.
From my uninstall process, I only got the choice to keep my information or remove it entirely, no check box for extra layer of security existed. I did choose the remove all user data option, so am I good to go?
You should be good to go, it shouldn't affect anything and it said the same for me. I had to remove Norton because it was lagging me and I had to install malware bytes so I had to uninstall Norton and it worked when I uninstalled it.
It doesn't detect the virus on the devices. It's said when I did the agreement that they give a full refund if they cannot remove it neither. And offers 24/7 live help.
I didn't check the box im pretty sure and couldn't figure out how to make up for it, I ended up searching this new computer for all related files and deleting them.

Norton products are safe ... but compared to other mainstream offerings not very stable. I can say this with confidence as I service computers for a living. I know of no known issues with Norton VPN specifically.

Removing Norton reminds me of an exorcism where an evil spirit is leaving the body and fighting till the very end lol.
Then it re appears over and over again.. Search your computer and its no where to be found.. Now the search begins.. Get your pitch forks ready..
Lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Now this for funny 🤣
You are a great teacher by slowing the pace and allowing us time to keep up-thank you.
The reason i want to delete norton on my pc is bcuz it literally slows down my system because of its notifications and how much it works
Wtf
Mine uses 90% of the gpu
@@nytrohjs7645 then you probs don't have a dedicated gpu

I think who ever made the laptop like Lenovo got payed by Norton to have their anti virus installed on their PC's
Because it's on my acer desktop
So... Windows Defender VS Norton. Which one is better? Is there a significant difference?
Thank you so much, it took me 17 hours to delete Norton but my computer is finally faster
Clear, calm and easy to follow. Thank you. 😊
Now i want you to uninstall norton and see the nightmare..

i removed norton but it still takes action when i download simple things like fps unlockers for games like roblox
you probably didn't uncheck the box

I went to tell them why i was leaving and it Auto Blocked their website
