I was watching this while my class was watching a movie and I screamed at the top of my lungs and my students asked if I'd won the lottery. I said, "No, but Canada just tied Switzerland." Nobody had a clue what I was talking about.

None hockey countries actually show up better than they should in IIHF World Championships (other than junior tournaments). This is mainly because the best players from hockey countries don't usually play in this tournament, while the best players from non-hockey countries do.

I remember doing CSO on a construction site that day...I.got so sick of tending that site by that time...I remember recording this and hearing on the radio how much of a nail biter it was...God damn. I also remember hating how un suited that goal song was as a goal song....then high on life became one of my favourite songs that year. Man that one grew on me

The clock isn't properly stopped throughout the game because of referees. If the puck goes in slightly after the period ends, the goal should count if the buzzers still making sound.
