I have the typical ‘no start’ problem on my Ditech. Changed the coil, lead and cap, plug. Removed and tested injector, stator is producing power, fuel pump fine....Compression 75psi but I’ve read on Aprilia forums that it should be between 90-110.. and people who have 130...
@@petesgarage4670 hi, update, so installed new rings and gaskets and the motor still had 75psi. It actually started and ran for 5 minutes then lost power and died. Doesn’t start anymore. Where could the motor be losing the compression other than cylinder/motor cylinder/head or sparkplug.. if the injection system has lost seal, then it’s time to bin the bike without spending lots of money for those parts.
@@AutoClayis the teflon gasket and the other 2 rubber gaskets on the blue injector ok? did you check it? the only thing I can think of is a crack in the motor casing. there is no other way to loose copression.
I own a piaggio purejet 2006 injection. Starting fine, runs fine, pulls great until it hits the operating temperature. After that it splutters hard between 6500 -7000rpm and it loses power. If i give wot it doesn't splutter anymore and the overall performance is lower. used different sparkplugs, water trap, semisynt oil, cleaned everything, compressor it seems that is doin 4.5 bar very fast. Didn't do compression test and now I got the rebuild kit for injectors. Any oppinion?

I can turn the throttle and can visibly see the rear wheel spinning, but after a while like five minutes or so it will just stop. Was wondering what things I can rule out. It is a 2003 Tuono ditech. I can take a video. Al's I line in USA. Is there a good place to get the clear tube that goes from the 2stroke oil pump to the manifold? Thanks.
a lot of things can cause this problem. Faulty fuel pump, faulty spark plug, injection clogged, faulty electric throttle sensor..... what I would do first: take out the spark plug and inspect it. Let me know how it looks like

I dont really understand i took apart my compressor everything seems to be good i dont really know how the wheel should look how the shims should look how the rod should look but i found out that it is leaking air tried fixing it with sandpaper nothing really changed but it seemed to be a bit better so tried putting it back in the moped and it didnt start after dissasembling the compressor again tweaking some things i put it back and managed to start the moped but it seems to be alot worse than it was idk what im doing wrong and how to fix it

@@aintjezus3011 this can be a lot of things like spark, plug or fuel pressure or some leakage in the hoses… or or or 😢the ditec engines can be very problematic 😭 I recently bought a Gilera runner pure jet and it didn’t run well, after measuring the fuel pressure I realise that the fuel pump was pumping ONLY with 4 bar which was enough for the bike to run but not enough to run properly so maybe check your fuel pump
@@petesgarage4670 thats the point that the fuel pump is brand new and original and i rode with it for about 300km so its def not the fuel pump😭 And yeah they are VERY problematic every person i talk to who understands about mopeds ask "why would you even buy a purejet?" @@aintjezus3011 okay if the fuel pump is new then it could be the blue injector, but before you do anything on the injector check all the connection hoses they must be 100% air tight. if that’s okay next step would be green blue and green injector. as for the ditech engines …To be honest I hate them too, but I love working on them, tweaking and solving problems. This is what you usually don’t do on standard two-stroke carburettor engines because usually they simply work 🙃

@@petesgarage4670 I'm asking because I have low pressure problem. I have checked for leaks and checked if valve is holding pressure. My piston ring gap is bit more than 0.5mm. Do you think ring gap above 0.5mm is still good to bild up and hold correct air pressure?
@@petesgarage4670 Yes I can get more than 5bar but only when I connect compressor hose directly to pressure gauge and cranking engine.Problem with low pressure is only when the engine is running and I mesure pressure by using t-joint fitted to air supply hose. All connections checked with soapy water. Scooter running well when suplied with air pressure from my garage compressor. Is it possibile that air is leaking somewhere internaly in the injector body and compressor just won't keep up to compensate? Externaly there is no leaks - 99% sure about that.

75psi is around 5 bar. far too low for a ditech. you need at least 7 bar or 110 psi. Buy new piston rings that should help

Try making a compression test as soon as the engine gets warm and loses power 👍🏻👍🏻

what model Aprilia Sr its yours? Sr2 or Sr3? Mine its Sr2 but i like most Suzuki engine. Can be modified to run faster yeasier than Piaggio motor
