    Ito yung original na Queen City of the South eh... well until now naman.

      Please dont say that Cebu didn't deserve the title, respect lang po ok🤗, though I admire the determination for wanting to retain the title "Queen City of the South" for Iloilo, remember to always be respectful and never be vulgar, Just like what you said Ilonggos are nice so their actions should reflect those things, always be kind ok, and never give up I'm sure one day Iloilo will be dubbed "Queen city of the south" again 👑🤗🤗🤗

    Thanks for the nostalgic video of Iloilo City. Most of the places I have seen around the world are like what Iloilo looked like in the pre-WW II era. I truly wish the people entrusted with city planning take their job seriously.

      It’s very sad because most of the original structures visible in these photos were destroyed by the war. Manila as well, it’s very beautiful in the pre-war era.

    3rd oldest city in the country, founded in 1581

    • @jessietan3719
      @jessietan3719 7 лет назад +11

      No its the second oldest city by a Royal Decree of Queen Ma. Cristina of Spain in 1889 and given a coat of arm, with a Title, La Muy Noble Y Leal Ciudad de Iloilo, after Manila 1574. Manila was given the named the Ever Distinguished and Loyal City in 1574 while Cebu City technically became only a city in 1937. Cebu never been proclaimed as city legally and historically although Cebu City is the first and oldest Spanish settlement ever in the country in 1565.

    What's the reason kung bakit humina ang pag progress ng Iloilo from 1970s to 90s?

    • @janmelmeteoro5904
      @janmelmeteoro5904 4 года назад +1

      But eventually, Iloilo is now rising once again as it is one of the richest province and City in the Country, it all happend because of a clean and good governance with the support of the disciplined people☺. And btw you don't have the right to call Ilonggos bobo, in fact many Iloilo schools are topping the board exams. Hindi naman siguro tatawaging "Wakanda of the Philippines" ang Iloilo kung mga bobo ang mga nakatira dun. Have a good night or good morning rather😊

    • @janmelmeteoro5904
      @janmelmeteoro5904 4 года назад +1

      @Tyson Mars yes, Iloilo is among the Top 10s richest provinces. And where did you get that nakaw2 incidence? Paki lapag nga dito☺kung wala kang ibang gagawin kundi manira, better not to waste my time.

    • @janmelmeteoro5904

      @Tyson Mars the people who are accusing Drilon have no evidence to support their accusations. In addition, bago pa ang SEA games marami nang beautification projects ang nangyari sa Iloilo, it all started since 2012.
