- Join me and my sixteen-year-old as we hike the Triund Trail in Dharamshala, India.
Our trip begins in McLeod Ganj where we walk to the Triund trailhead in Dharamkot. From there we ascend quickly towards the top of Triund Hill.
The Triund Trail deserves to be at the top of the must-see when visiting Dharamshala. Everything about the hike makes for a perfect day. The trail is strenuous but well worth the effort.
The views are incredible the entire way. However, the top of the Triund Hill is out of this world. The towns below, such as Dharamshala, Mcleod Ganj, and Dharakot, look like specs. Then on the other side, you have the towering Himalayas. Combine that with the moon-like surroundings, grazing animals, and your mind will be blown.

Awesome hike. Nice!!
Thanks! 👍
Dude this place looks incredible. What a welcomed surprise seeing those goats! I'm glad they got the Coca cola well stocked 😂 really enjoyed this style of vlog. Knocked it out of the park with the Drone footage! What kind do you have? I use a dji Mavic mini
Thanks. DJI 3 Mini Pro
I did that hike up and down all in one day last year too. Just like the pressure will affect a plastic water bottle by expanding/contracting, I guess the same happened with my intestinal tract! Coming back down I had the absolute worst gas of my entire life. I couldn't take a step without farting. Some calculable percentage of the smog that day came from me.
Did you also have such issues?
Oh, and twice I ran into Aussies who said that hike was easy and we could do it in sandals. Fortunately I didn't heed their advice, but I know now not to trust an Aussie on such things.
Hahaha 🤣. Not on that hike, but it has happened to me before. It’s definitely a thing.
