😆😆😆😆 We made it, much appreciate you guys.
The Dream quote is not said by Brolin, its said by Jason Mamoa! RIP Aquaman.
herbert's dune series was my favorite series to read since i was in junior high, i've read the series countless times to date, so i'll drop a slight **spoiler warning*** because i've established opinions cuz i know the whole gosh darn story.
i can imagine chekov and j. campbell straight trolling in the comments on denis's storytelling. he's gone on record saying that every film in the series will bottle a full story with beginning middle and end, but overall there is a long form story (think asimov). so, paul the child enters new world see him grow up a bit but with reservations of his powers (war in my name!) in part 1, come into his powers and then hand wavy at the religious war at the end of part 2, if denis doesn't resolve that woosh woosh with a concluding chapter/trilogy, graves will roll, restlessly. i, myself, missed the whole point of paul's journey as a kid cuz i didn't understand a hero's chapter isn't a life. BUT...hint to everyone else, george lucas and george rr both took themes and plot points as influences from herbert's much older story into their own grand epics.
i'd be pissed if denis gets snubbed for directing, you can actually see how he nurtured these characters across films, chalamet's child to man, bardem's leader to follower, skarsgard AND bautista's big bad to little bad, every characters plans within plans arcs. that's what was made the story un-film-able, translating the nuisances of all the arcs within the universe, herbert did it mostly in internal dialogue and lengthy exposition--even denis had to gloss over the politics and factions.
Unfortunately, for most of us in the U.S. the LIEMAX screen is the only option outside of having to travel to another city or state. That's alot to ask of a viewer since 70mm IMAX isn't widely available.
