    Trepanation was, surprisingly, not the most unhelpful thing you could do for headaches before modern medical knowledge. I mean, the risk of infection is MASSIVE, but it would certainly provide immediate relief to people who were suffering from swelling of the brain. In fact, our modern treatment for an increase in cranial pressure - the craniectomy - is effectively the same thing. It certainly wouldn’t be the cause of all headaches, but it would have been potentially lifesaving (at least in the short term) for people who were suffering from inflammation of the brain.

      Wasnt a series was a two parter and we probably didnt get it cos alot of the jokes would be lost on an Australian audience since theyre anglo centric.

      @@tshumukokgalagadi5273 Wrong, and just cos Aussies have a white ancestry doesnt mean we'd get all the european jokes relative to brits that this wouldve been aimed at. Thats like saying Americans would understand British humour, which alot dont and theyre european too.

    Is the black gentleman at the end Lenny Henry? I think recognize it from his narration of Neil Gaiman’s‘s Anansi boys - the voice used here sounds like Henry’s acting for Rosie’s mother

      Did you mean Peter Davidson? Yeah, you see, I'm such an impatient, fidgety ball of raw nerves I didn't even stop at 14:25, I just shot straight through to the credits and his was the only name that fit the context... unless Helena Bonham Carter is that new Doctor...
