It seems like every other Fry and Laurie sketch is Fry being mental and Laurie being confused
They do one thing and they do it well 😁
"Your name, sir", the one where Fry is a police officer and Laurie is Mr. Nippl-e, seems to be the opposite.
That's called 'being the straight man'.
Well he was on rather a lot of cocaine at the time
And Baldrick is a dim wit. THAT is the character he plays. They all play their characters extremely well!!
Is there any possible way we can preserve Stephen Fry, or at least clone him eternally? The man is a treasure and I adore him.
Stephen truly is a British national treasure. Absolutely hilarious!
Nah World treasure!
@@daveninja3317 👏👏👏
I wouldn't go that far
@@daveninja3317 I definitely wouldn't go that far
@@Beugsie plenty of Aussies love him
A thumbs up for Mr. Dalliard who performs exceptionally!
Mr.Daliard! We've been activated!
They are both very clever. Very clever. In a Cleese, gervais, Louis ck mould. Floating above the rest of you. With me. Lol
@@simonbarnett6892 Wow, that list goes from "I see your point" to "You must f*cking suck in real life" so quickly.
One thing I really like about Fry is how ridiculously good he is at changing his accent.
😢❤
"Sir please set fire to my legs if you think I'm trying to make haircutting more glamorous and romantic than it really is"
Brilliant!
2:05 - This Laurie and Fry sketch is straight-up Python. So many lines, and so much physical comedy.
I think it’s Blackadder, not Fry and Laurie! Unless, of course, you’re simply referring to the fact that the sketch has both the actors in it, and not that it is a sketch from their self-titled show.
@@ChestersonJack That's exactly what I meant.
Stephen Fry is a National Treasure 💕
Stephen Fry compilation? Yeah, I’m just going to like this video in advance.
Thanks for that.
7:45 The structure of that Barman sketch has a lot to thank _The Two Ronnies_ for. 😄
My thoughts exactly, derivative but without plagiarism.
@@sewob147 perzackly
That whole sketch had the Ronnies all over it and I love it.
0:52 that Jeeves and Wooster reference tho
"BAAAAH!" Stephen Fry is not just a treasure, he should be shrink wrapped so future generations can study him and work out his intelligence for themselves, and then pass it onto others that they may learn from the genius. Even with the comedy, the sketches and the laughter, I could listen to Stephen reading the phone book, and be absolutely mesmerised at his dulcet tones as they chime off business and personal numbers, each one a reverence of personality. And he would put his heart and soul into each one.
Stephen Fry’s Funniest Moments! | BBC Comedy Greats. 14.5.24. it's raining like a bitch now, as I write.....
"Rest your weary elbows!" And "Warned you on bended legs!" Are two lines that sum up Stephen Fry quite succintly.
A "Stephen Fry's Funniest Moments" compilation is incomplete without his phenomenal performance as Jeeves. (not BBC, though)
Thaťs great stuff! I thought it was made by the BBC as well
@@silvasilvasilva I believe it was ITV
For me the all time greatest shall be the model shop skit. Its so wonderfully absurd and Laurie is the perfect straight-man as always.
After being slapped and punched, the look on the Prince's face is priceless. Should happen to more royals
A genius!. That sketch with the barman was absolutely brilliant.
Plain and prawn flavoured, great sketch
Hello darling. 😂
I love everything that has
Stephen fry
Huge lorrie
Rik mayall (my favourite actor, and person funny, intelligent and kind, R.I.P)
Rowan Atkinson
Ade Edmondson
David jason
Truly the some of the greatest British stars to have graced my television growing up.
The laugh track missed the Hull joke (Hull is less than 5 miles from the northern border of Lincolnshire, so would not have missed the rain...)
Maybe it didn’t have the money to pay the toll at the Humber Bridge.
Go away and buy some heroin. I don't say this lightly.
I love the tiiiny details, especially in the ABOFAL parts. "...disappeared up its own rabbit hole..." @5:25. A very subtle (or not 😁) metaphor.
21:46 : "HOW DARE YOU SIT SIR, IN THE PRESENCE OF YOUR BETTERS!"
i lost it at "savoury finger" lol
I wish they'd made more fry and laurie series or Stephen Fry came back to sketch comedy.
7:44 this entire sketch lmao
1:42 I love that one hahaha
Do you intend to make best of's of Fry & Laurie together next ? I'd love to see compilations of the different series within A Bit of Fry & Laurie, like the Tony & Control or John & Peter skits.
Our little island is certainly good at producing "Comic Geniuses".
All places do. your island isn't special
@@juandiego9164
In terms of the arts and entertainment in general, it is.
In terms of engineering and globally significant inventions it also is, by far.
@@juandiego9164 didn't say it was.
Just what we all need atm :)
aam - At ANY moment 😁
2:28 looks like Laurie is trying real hard to contain his laughter.
Love black adder grew up watching it 👌🏻
Legend.
Stephen Fry is one of the most magnificent human creatures to have graced our earth.
Brilliant.
Haven't watched it yet, but know in advance it's a 👍
TEEEA!!!! 🍵🥾(Boot up arse). 😂😂😂😂😂
21:05 he got the title wrong "My Lord", then got it right at the next line 21:13 "Your Highness". Great clips, such a comedy genius.
Stephen is Awsome 😅
What? No Brigadier Blaster Sump, damn you?
I ❤️ Melched
"University education, you can't beat it!"
I think Messrs. Fry and Laurie should have railings erected around them, and we mere mortals might perhaps be permitted to visit occasionally and offer our praise and thanks to two of our greatest treasures.
So either no one has come into that shop and said “good morning” in 27 years… or people have had to explain to him that they are just saying “good morning” every single day for the past 27 years… Brilliant.
It's ironic, the only person who could play 'Stephen Fry', is Stephen Fry.
2:44 That was the most unconvincing "dropping something from hearing something shocking" I've ever seen.
Well bugger me with a fish fork.
💖💫
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
These two were perfect idiots together. I miss a bit of fry and laurie.
Where’s the day I forgot my legs?
A MODEL AEROPLANE OF WATER????
I think his Extinction Rebellion rant was comedy gold myself.!!
@@securityrobot wow you're extremely unpleasant
21:46
In the presence of genius
He narrates a cartoon called Pocoyo
anybody know the show and episode of the clip at 2:10?
Show is called "A Bit of Fry & Laurie". Series 1, Episode 1.
BAH!
Cheese-and-tummietoe sandwich
You might as well title this "Hugh Laurie's Funniest Moments!" too
I just watched the Hugh Laurie compilation and it had a lot of the same sketches.
Uncle bertie... jeeves and wooster ref perhaps
OMG, Frykovsky is here 🤫
Fry is always brilliant. It made me sick when the idiots at CBS cancelled The Great Indoors. That show was funny as hell. Never been done before. Great weird chatacters and Stephen Fry. Ive completely given up on television. The powers that be keep crapping out shows before they even get a chance to build up a following. Superior donuts. Rebel. Great indoors. Men at work kevin can wait but you dont kill off parents on a sitcom. The mom was cool on that show. The fam all were funny as hell.
I'd have liked some Jeeves and Wooster, but I suppose it's owned by a different production company.
_Jeeves and Wooster_ was made for ITV; this is a BBC Channel!
What does Dr. House doing there?
BELTS OFF
Hey guess what I didn't subscribe the first time you popped up the annoying button, what makes you think popping it up another million times is going to change my mind?
I didn’t know there was any funny moments with Stephen Fry 😂
Didn't know Dr House did comedy
Then you've been missing out.
Look up "Blackadder goes forth",for example. The actor's name is Hugh Laurie, not House. Gregory House was a written character. Did you think him American, as so many did? No,just a good English actor.
Thumbs up trousers down get your mouth round that life can be a dream.
Dawn't be durteh
What, no futurama?
Cancie wencie
I know these men are comic geniuses, but they are literally telling poo jokes
Poo jokes are funny
I don’t know if it’s my age or if ‘a little bit of Fry and Laurie’ has aged, but nowadays only the Blackadder sketches seemed funny here
i wish they would do away with the 'audience'. I like to decide which bits are funny and i can do that without the aid of an 'audience'
It was a real audience
Was always unsure about fry, now with the help of the net know he's a married brown hatter (puff).
With Blackadder an exception the only other sketch with a glint of humour was the barman skit,(which,by the way, was pure Two Ronnies),Messers Fry & Laurie are both more than capable performers but their writing was pretty poor.
It’s a shame that such an intellectual and master of comedy could be so inept when it comes to global affairs , some of his opinions regarding the fate of the planet and the activities of the extinction rebellion are at best naive if not puerile . He is bless him is an embodiment of intellectual prowess, and yet has little basic common sense . Sadly he is not alone in this regard , but in the defence of free speech he must be allowed to state his opinions . As a person I have great respect for his good self , and would never wish to denigrate his contribution to the world of entertainment , but I do feel he is decidedly wrong on many matters that confront the average person. So many in the world of fame seem duty bond to inflict the rest of us with their pearls of wisdom, I for one would ask they to refrain from doing so .
Where was the funny bit. A load of BBC crap.
He used to be funny.
Boring .
If you are a halfwit, yes.
