On my 13 f150 5.0 the muffler litterally unbolts and pulls straight off (muffler delete). Left it with no pipe coming off the resonater. Essentially the same thing as you but that 3" tip makes a slightly deeper tone that is really nice! Thanks
Hey Professor Mike- How much drone is there inside your cab with the muffler delete? I've had everything from straight pipes, performance mufflers, etc. on prior V8 F-150s, and I'm considering a muffler delete on my current 19', just really don't want a lot of drone. Thanks!
@@ProfessorMikee ok thanks! I just wanted to make sure that it wouldn’t give me an annoying drone in the cab and give me a headache after hours of driving.
@@392local I’m sure it does, my 5.0 does great too. I also get e85 which is 2.59 where I’m I live. Plus I have an exhaust in mine so I step on it near all the v6 tacomas, Nissans and smaller trucks.
I have a 2019 Roush F-150 and I love the exhaust note with the Roush cat-back exhaust.
Roush is an awesome product! Thanks for sharing Brian!
I’ve been wanting to get my muffler deleted on my ‘13 5.0 but shops are charging me upwards of $350. Definitely gonna have to do it myself
Great affordable option if you can do it yourself!

Awesome bro. Love the black tip 👊🏼👍🏻
Thanks! 🙌🏼
Is your windshield tinted ? I’m trying to decide to do mine or not, beautiful truck btw.
Yes it is! 50%
@@ProfessorMikee that’s exactly what I was thinking of getting. That looks great, thanks for replying man!
Answer the phone dang!! 😂 just kidding!!! Nice ride. Sounds cool

The drone is not bad since the exhaust is so far back in the bed from the cab
Sounds like a V6 to me.😊
I’ve been wanting to do this on my 5.0 F150. Just curious, is there any exhaust drone in the cab?
Very little because the truck is so long and the exhaust is way in the back you can barely hear it

An interesting detail
🔥🔥
Did you notice any decrease in low end torque with no muffler. I feel like mine decreased a little bit
Have no noticed anything, but I don’t really step on it and floor it that much to tell, I’m always in eco mode
Does that actually rub horsepower because of the lack of back pressure?
It did not change HP or Torque in a negative or positive way
Damn that sounds good
did you only remove the muffler?
Yes kept the stock resonators on welded 3 foot on 3in piping in place of the muffler
What size pipe did you replace the muffler section with?
3 feet of 3in piping
3 inch inside diameter or outside diameter?
Where’d you get the black tip ?
The shop had one for me!
I thought you had a V-6 ECOBOOST ?
No sir 5.0 V8
Screw the ecoboost
@@kylequintana My 2018 Ecoboost does just fine for me.. all the power I need..especially with gas mileage (with Biden screwing up everything)..

The 2.7 and 3.5 ecoboost are faster than the 5.0 just saying 🤷🏻♂️
Nice!!
🙌🏼
Is there any droning?
Very little; the exhaust is so far in the back you can’t really hear it
Did you delete the resonator?
No
I thought it was illegal to remove the muffler?
Depending on certain states,
