One correction - The paper he is holding in the end is balbir's cancer report , he kept it when he came out of balbir's office in the hope that something can still be done about his father's treatment ( vanga also pointed it in his interview)

If you pay attention in the start of the movie where Rannvijay is at his father's birthday, he argues with his Jija where he says "Didi, Isse woh Bandar ki kahani pata hai joh talwar leke Raja ki raksha karna chahta hai? Bahaduri aur bewakoofi mein sirf ek bandar ka phark hai." I think this is the extended story of what Ranvijay dictates at the start of the movie. Another point is the people around Rannvijay when he dictates the bandar story are his cousins although I think after that war (between Rannvijay and Aziz) only a few cousins will be left. We already have a hint that Palli and one other cousin were killed by Aziz in the ending of the movie.
I think the story of the bandar is something that has been around generations amongst Rannvijay's family.

One thing I have noticed you all might have missed. Animal is the most BS and senseless movie of all time in the history of Bollywood. Nothing is meaning full and doesn't make any sense. Action is all time of low standard. One man fighting 400 men single handedly, how's that even possible yaar? Things start abruptly and end abruptly and has no affect on the movie. For example Just remove entire 40 - 45 minutes of Animal lead get sick and out of thin air he get well and walking naked. Anything will change? nop .. nothing. Plenty of shit in it and I'm not going to waste more time writing it. I already wasted 3.21 hours of my precious life on this Super Duper Shit Movie. SRV should get capital punishment for 100 thousands millions hours of human civilization.

I have an input here. Remember that last scene where the brothers say "mera bhai bol nahin sakta..." and "mera bhai sun nahin sakta"? When I saw that scene for the first time, I immediately thought the brothers would bond with each other. But sadly, that didn't happen. I think the director deliberately used the dialogues to highlight the fact that the brothers could reconcile their differences if they wanted to, and complement each other. It was like "the blind man hears and the deaf man sees" scenario.
