A simple story : I hate the mosquitoes (bad thoughts) inside the park (mind) they are always irritating me ,then why don't you leave the park ,no I can't because I love the merry-go-round and ice- cream(pleasurable thoughts) so much so I don't want to leave.
This for me is the best guided meditation I've ever done

When I think about the past or future I am not in the moment? Is there any other moment than the present moment?
The problem is that we identify completely with the thinking and what happens in the moment and we aren't consciously in touch with the substratum of what is happening in the moment and is our true nature.

I don't know who iam but i do know who iam not.
This seemed more like a lecture or ted talk than a meditation.
It’s the investigation into the experience of mind and awareness that is important here. Even with eyes wide open, one can see clearly how consciousness illuminates all there is
I think it’s more a guided self inquiry :)
Adya often invites you to not only listen to his words, but he also models that state of mind. So it’s a combination inquiry and meditation.
