You will DEFINITELY fit in! People are pretty friendly here. It seems to be the first thing people notice when they come in to visit. I agree, it is getting pricey everywhere. Cedar City is still a good $100K below the St. George area.
It's quiet, quiet place honey. Not that many people want to live in such a quiet place (speaking from Las Vegas). They don't even have a Target over there! ❤
Being born and raised in Vegas myself, I couldn't wait to move to this quiet and beautiful place.🙂 There is a Target 45 minutes South in St. George, which definitely helps my wallet not being right around the corner. 😉
Do you know if there will be another interchange for the I-15 south of the current southern most interchange? Are there plans to address traffic with the large developments coming to the Schurtz Canyon area?
There has been talk of adding another exit a little further South. So far, there hasn't been any confirmation or starting to that. There is an exit before Hamilton Fort that can be taken to get to that area of Cedar City as well.
I love that! We have so many great local places to eat. Check out this playlist of eating in Cedar City. ruclips.net/p/PLgvHkEC3cFaoJ8wpNcdri3nG9c7z-0PDn
What is the master plan for water there? Are there water rights on the properties 1+ acres? At year's end I will be looking for a large lot in southern Utah. Convince me why I should not move to St. G.
Many of the developed and subdivided lots for sale are on city water. Most everything on the South end of town discussed in this video will be developed lots. There are some properties in and around Cedar City that sellers will sell with water rights. However, many undeveloped lots are sold without water rights. The water rights would need to be purchased separately. If the lot is not on city water, you'll typically have to put in a well. Cedar City and St. George are quite different. I'm happy to help you find a place in either location. Check out this video to see the differences. ruclips.net/video/gu4lfDt2ox4/видео.html
Our native trees are Juniper trees, which you'll find all over South Mountain. However, you aren't wrong. Cedar City can get windy. It tends to be calm in the mornings and evenings and will often pick up midday. It's not always but enough to notice a pattern.
I like that area along with St George but two things concern me, it seems to be getting pricey and I am not LDS but I am Christian. Would I fit in?

I'm LDS and I have a lot of friends from all (or no) religious backgrounds.
Moved to Cedar about a year ago from the Eastern U.S. Love it!
Glad to hear you love it here!
Great videos, always, Elizabeth! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you, Travis! 😊

We have Cafe Rio and Costa Vida in Idaho too!
That doesn't surprise me at all! There seem to be a lot of similarities between Idaho and Utah.
Terrible chain stores. I only eat at local businesses.
