If you take CDDH as canon, they had a terrible homelife that lead to them acting the way they did. Dio's been shown to charm characters like Polnareff, Abdul and Kakyoin so to say that he charmed and manipulated 2 kids into his bidding in exchange for "peace of mind" or money to live off of. Sorry for the rambling, I just really love these 2

Trivia time: This is a tribute to Oingo Boingo, Danny Elfman's band (famous composer who wrote the theme tune to The Simpsons, and scored many of Tim Burton's films, including providing the singing voice for Jack Skellington from A Nightmare Before Christmas). Oingo's singing is supposed to sound like the big man himself, and IMO he's nailing it 🙌
Also, if you want to compare this to an Oingo Boingo song, go listen to Dead Man's Party to hear the influence. OB are just a great band overall, was so happy when this aired 😍

The fact that they made this and the hol horse ending shows what kind of love and care David Production put into Jojo.

I honest to god hate it how this was the very first piece of JJBA media that I ever saw, I was around 7 when I was surfing around Adult Swim trying to watch DBZK and I happened to see this while I was surfing needless to say I was simultaneously confused and intrigued, two years later I had pretty much all but forgotten what this was when I saw this ending after watching stardust crusaders, I’m sure you could imagine my shock when I realized that this was the first piece of JJBA media I ever saw

But I can get it. In anime, female characters often speak in a rather high pitch, so it makes sense that this older woman VA would be able to do such a “little boy” voice. Women often voice the roles of little boys, so as to not have to get a new voice actor as the show goes on and the VA that once had the perfect voice for the character, has grown up and voice has deepened.
