  • This video was inspired by a Southwest Airlines incident where, following an uncontained engine severe damage, the aircraft also suffered from a rapid depressurization. Such a combination of events usually is not practiced by the pilots during their recurrent simulator training, and for this reason, the pilots have to use the best of their airmanship to deal with the situation.
At the end of the video, you will find the link to the video produced by the TheFlightChannel, reproducing the event that happened to flight 1380, with the real communication between the pilots and ATC. The crew performed very well in such an unexpended event, landing the aircraft safely. For all of us, watching this video is a great learning experience.

For more information about the aircraft systems, I strongly recommend you to subscribe to the AviatorLifeCS channel. Produced by an active and dedicated airline pilot. There you will find videos very well describing the so many systems of the Boeing 737.
