    Lime rock was so neck and neck between splits, you would have

      Yeah that is a good thing with lime Rock, it's so short that there isn't much time for the fast guys to gain time! It's just that chicane 😂😂

    honestly appreciate you uploading and commentating a lap with multiple mistakes. shows us small slip-ups to avoid while your succinct explanations still make it clear what the goal of each corner is

      Yeah I do like to too, I think it shows too that even though it's not perfect it's still a good lap (hopefully) 😂😂

    Do mind, u mentioned is a Iracing spa setup. Means default?
    Also how do you put the overlay?

    • @Tdi99
      @Tdi99  2 года назад

      Iracing has a few different setups for different tracks, they use these setups in the fixed races series. In the open setup you can use whatever setup you want.
      The overlays are a 3rd party app called RaceLabs, they have a free and paid version!

    Thanks for posting this, fixed set up will make it easier, now I just need more practice, LimeRock was frustrating and an SR blood letting for sure….What brake bias do you find more comfortable? Hoppy Easter and/or Passover! Cheers, Franz in NJ USA

    • @Tdi99
      @Tdi99  2 года назад +1

      Brake bias, if there are alot of down hill braking zones I tend to have a slightly more rear bias than stock (51-53%) for heavy braking zones in a straight line you can throw it foward a little more. I think spa was 54%

    I love your videos! I’m new at this so I’m not quite to your level but rewatching these videos as I practice is super helpful. Thank you very much! I like the IR-04 car more than the skippy so I’m trying to stick with this one and learn it.
    I have a fanatec steering wheel but still use my Logitech G29 pedals. They aren’t load cell pedals. Do you think that could be a reason why I can’t quite to your lap times?

    • @Tdi99
      @Tdi99  2 года назад +2

      That is 100% the right thing to do - learn one car!! there are some fast people that use Logitech g29 with the same pedals. its all about you feeling what the game is telling you through the wheel - yes load cells can help you get more constant sooner but its still you reading the feedback and driving.
      If your off me have a check at the corners that lead onto long straights, you can gain 0.1 or 0.2 out of the exit you can gain all that speed done the straights for "free". don't be worried about making mistakes in practice you can learn more what the car can not do!

      @@Tdi99 thank you very much! I’m also noticing that the track temp has such a dramatic effect on lap time. At Spa I’m 2+ seconds off when track temp is up 20-25 degrees

    • @Tdi99
      @Tdi99  2 года назад

      Yeah I should have mentioned that too, temp will play a big part, and even wind direction!

    Wondering if you might be able to answer my question. i've been running the open series. if i switch to the fixed series is that a different set of championship points? I've liked seeing what my 12 weeks of work comes to at the end of the season.

    • @Tdi99
      @Tdi99  2 года назад

      Haha you and me both! But they are different! Unfortunately. I'm still going to have to run at least 1 open race per week!
