  • ● Hey guys, I wasn't going to finish the season 2022 without releasing my usual tribute video at this time of the year.
This is one is a special one about retirement and the legacy Federer will leave to tennis behind him.
    ● I personnaly consider that between 2005 until today was the golden era of this sport mainly because Federer, Nadal and Djokovic but also thanks to other main tennis faces like Wawrinka, Murray, Del potro and many more.
It's why I wanted to pay tribute to all this generation of players we had the chance to witness. I couldn't include everyone in it but I won't forget players a bit less known who have been part of this journey.
    ● So yeah Merry Christmas, Happy New Year 2023 and everything, I hope you'll enjoy this video and I see you in a couple of months for more
    great content I hope ;D

What an era. One of the great privileges of my life. They’ve helped form some of our childhoods.
The highs, the lows, it was all worth it…

0:00-1:13: footage of players who have retired, probably their last moment on tour
2:22-3:26: footage of each players during this golden generation (2005-2022), with their greatest victory of their career
I'm really appreciate your videos. Each of those have a lot of meaning in every single scene, plus the music is awesome

2024 i think murray, wawrinka and Nadal will say goodbye. Only djokovic will left in 2025 and when the serbian retired the golden age of tenis will finish once and all, djokovic will be the last man to stand up

Wow, what a wonderful idea to honor all the great players who have already retired. At the beginning of the video with their farewell, at the end with their successes together with many active players during his period. Your videos are not just videos, all the scenes of your videos are so beautifully thought out and presented. Their are so many little details in your videos, so well crafted. It's heartbreaking to realize how many great players from this era have already retired. The video starts with the saddest moments and ends with the most beautiful ones. What I like the most: 0:00 His idol Pete Sampras steps down and Roger steps into his shoes. 3:19 The end of the video represents the end of the Golden Era and the start of a new era (Alcaraz winning first GS and claiming No. 1) Congratulations and thank you very much! You are very gifted

Thanks a lot buddy, I was looking for some original stuff to make and I'm glad this idea came out. Even if it's just 3 minutes, a video like that still takes a long time of research to collect all the clips but the result is worth it at the end. Wish you a great year 23 too man 💯

I feel 10 years older since Roger has retired. I was 17 when he won his first Wimbledon and since then I have not missed any of his matches. His career has meant more than half my life. This Golden Era of tennis, when 3 gods were playing and pushing each other to new limits at pretty much the same time, with unparalleled consistency throughout the last 17 years, is something that will not be witnessed again in our lifetime. When Rafa retires too, I think I will stop watching tennis for a good while. What happened at the Laver Cup with both of them crying, left me in emotional tatters. Happy New Year, Le!

Thanks for your message once again man, happy new year to you too !
When Rafa and Novak will be gone it's gonna be hard to keep watching this new generation mainly serving big and hitting harder from the baseline. Thiem, Tsitsipas and a little bit Alcaraz will still motivate me to watch the last rounds of Grand Slam, but mostly I wanna know who will dominate Roland Garros when the king won't be there anymore.

    • @andreim.5324
      @andreim.5324 Год назад

@@lehunterpro I hear you. Tsitsipas, Zverev and Medvedev all share a common trait, they are too full of themselves, something the Big 3 never were. We'll see if Thiem will come back tonthe highest level again, but the only ones that currently produce any intereat to me, are Alcaraz and Musetti. Those 2 are probably the only onea I will watch consistently after Rafa and Nole will retire. Both are 10 times more talented than the Next Gen players, and both's games are a real treasure for the eyes. Both are producing spectacular tennis and that is what I like to see. Musetti just needs a little more consistency, which I think he will gain this year. The Hamburg final between them was one of the most beautiful matches of last year and I hope they have many more ahead.

I've been watching zero tennis this year, aside from the Rafa-Novak and Roger's retirement. Not only we have the weakest and dullest tour ever, but with the players with the least personality as well.
God, I'm missing them so much. Superb video as always, you're a treasure. We need one last video for Roger's career.

    • @lehunterpro

You're going a bit harsh on the young generation but I get your point, it's not the case for every of them. The main problem is the game style. Take Sinner and Alcaraz that should be the next biggest rivalry and you get a way too similar playing style. It's lacking of variety and the one handed backhand is disappearing. But thanks a lot man, I'll try to not disappoint!
