ara you rock! I wanted to do a barton shifter locktite video mine was coming loose, pulling the entire cluster out there. good to see people doing their own projects well done keep it up!!!
Being a Gen X and growing up on both Muscle and Imports I’ve always been an automotive enthusiast but currently I would never buy a Mopar living where I do based on theft and car jackings by gun point, I own one SUV and a 2018 6 speed Golf R no headaches so far.
The most effective anti-theft device in my 2023 Hellcat is its manual transmission. But I have the faraday bag for the fob, and when at home or at a hotel I keep the faraday bag inside a faraday box. Lastly, I have 2 old school wheel locks that I attach to the clutch and to the brake pedals, respectively. Definitely not convenient for me, but even less convenient to someone trying to steal my car.
Nice job. When I put my neutral strap cover on I was afraid of using a pry tool. So, I just reached my hand down into the hole where the neutral release is and started pulling up gently with my hand until that trim part started to pop loose. To be honest I still worried about breaking it but it worked out. I have been thinking about a remote control kill switch. That way it could be hidden somewhere hard to find and hard to get to and still be able to stop the car from starting. But I have not gone that far yet.
Not really. Can’t put it in neurtral on an automatic transmission without key and starting plus the cover plate. Slows them down. A manual, don’t need a key, don’t need to mess with strap covers. They roll it out, push with another stolen hellcat Durango and gone, and get better money for it.
Alright you got two of three now get a faraday bag for you're fob another 20 bucks that stops RFID signal to the car from the fob. A Faraday bag or box stops the key fob from communications with the car. How thieves steal a car is they have an antenna that picks up your RFID tag to a reception device, they pull up on a door handle of your car and the vehicle computer sends a code to the fob. A 20 dollar device completely shuts down all radio transmissions cool right.
Very cool! 😁 I do have both the faraday bag and box, I use the faraday bag whenever I am out doing errands. Also, I am planning to do a more thorough video on all the security measures I currently have, it's just taking a bit of time to put it together 😅 Thank you for watching Frank! 🤗
If your compustar system is setup the right way (alarm separate from oem alarm & keys & starter kill wired up) you don't even need igla to be honest. Just get the rfhub lock out from dodge so they cant program any new keys to the car & keep your keys in the signal blocker pouch or box. They just tried to steal my challenger again 3 days ago. Compustar alarm scared them away soon as they broke the window.
So many ways to steal these cars it's unreal. These simple add on's may slow a thief down, It does not prevent your ride from being stolen. Not only can they replicate the signal from your fob, but now USB port attacks. Doesn't matter what you do, you have to think like a criminal in order to beat the criminal.
& what happens if you break down & need a tow....& car doesn't start? towing from the rear will trash the front of your car.. & you won’t be able to get it on a flatbed...
VIN cover is a good idea. Gottta do it!
Consider installing Igla anti theft system...✌️
Compustar, IGLA, neutral strap cover, steering wheel lock, usb lock and ob2 port lock with a faraday bag💯
Good information. Thank you for the video!
Great video Ara. Thank you for the useful tips!
Thank you Pete!!

Thank you Ralph! Its always nerve wrecking to work on the car 😅
That's great for those states that don't have a registration sticker on the window displaying everything like NY
Thanks Ara!
I just subcribed and thank you ;-)
Appreciate you! 🤗
I don't think many thieves are after my 2014 Charger Pursuit HEMI Car but I do keep my Key Fob in a Faraday pouch when I'm not driving✌️😁🤳
Protecting your car regardless of the make and model is important! ☺
I just purchased both for my challenger. It's an sxt, but I'm always nervous about someone trying to take my girl from me
I have IGLA on my i want to put more safety
The best theft prevention is a manual transmission ! Period!
Agreed! 😂

So i have spent 919.00 on compustar. I have another 900.00 to spend in Igla

Yes! I exactly thought this too.
It can still get towed on a flatbed. Lol might not be pretty way but dey can still get it done.
Step 1: don't buy a hellcat
1K AND BEYOND!!!!!!!!!!
Fingers crossed! 🤞😁
