Ag, I enjoyed this so much. Just good and deep conversations on this topic. And how beautiful it actually is when the Lord settles these issues with each woman individually. I remember a time when a bunch of women were wrestling with this - myself included- and I would listen and hear. But I went before the Lord and just said show me your heart for women without me wanting any specific outcome. And what he took me through in scripture and in that time was just beautiful. It settled most of the wrestling I had. It was after that Mike Davies gave me a word about being like a Priscilla. It was something I could both humbly and confidently weigh as the Lord had settled my heart on the other issues. we have to take our hearts before the Lord especially on issues like these. Because we will boldly walk in who the Lord has made us - women! No need to walk in insecurity, pride or rebellion. And yes… God’s boundaries are beautiful.
Romans 16:7 Greet Andronicus and Junia, my fellow Jews, who were in prison with me. They are highly respected among the apostles and became followers of Christ before I did. Junia is a woman who was serving as and Apostle in the Church - does this not contradict some of what's being said here.?
Whether Junia is being called an apostle or just known to the apostles seems to be abit unclear if we just look at this verse but based on other scripture like the verses brought up in the video we can see that the second option seems to be more likely. For interest sake the ESV reads: 'Greet Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen and my fellow prisoners. They are well known to the apostles, and they were in Christ before me.'
I am asking not to stir, but I'm eager to learn as I hear different voices on the subject, and I witness some elected women in ministry e.g Kathryn Krick. The anointing on her life is evident and she seems to lead, and the love and God's authority emminating from her is evident.
@@TheLiuwa I haven't really heard of her but I think we should always be cautious to judge based on what we see online. I think we have all heard of pastors who seemed to be filled with the spirit, but end up having some skeletons in the closet and even turning from their faith. We should always weigh everything up against the word of God especially when we cant see the fruit of someones life and walk with God personally for example with people we see online. But we can see the fruit of someone we know personally like leaders in our local church. So i encourage you to carry on learning and im sure you will come to the correct conclusion.
TheLiuwa I suggest my short and free essay on Deborah. Reply for it if desired. Men and women are perfectly equal spiritually. That is how a woman could judge men of their sins, including homicide. She was a pastor, according to the scriptures. This is how the Judges are described in Chronicles. To say a woman can be a Judge over Israel, but a woman can't be an elder in a small church, just doesn't make any sense scripturally.
@@jordanharri How come woman can be prophets, but not apostles. Intellectually this does not make sense, never mind spiritually, which is how we are led.
As for my people, children are their oppressors and women rule over them......Isaiah 3:12 That verse applies to America and it's churches as much today as it did to Israel 2700 years ago.
Deborah was a Judge over Israel. Having wrote a short essay on her, I am very familiar with her story. The sending of a Judge was always a blessing from God. I cover the passage you mention in the essay. As people mention it from time to time. It doesn't apply to Deborah.
The Father honors His Word- Jesus is the Word!
