The day I was doing my second attempt at making soya milk and of course tofu. you released your home made tofu video, and I am obsessed with home made tofu now as it is so much nicer than the shop bought one. so please continue with that kind of recipes. And since you started this video with saving the environment and less food waste, any chance on recipe ideas using soy okara?

This looks absolutily fantastic! 🤔 Wondering if it could be made with coconut milk and aminos (for health reasons I need to avoid everything soy, and other GMO'd 'foods'). Going to try it!
I love your receipes and your new book sounds great! Having said that, I need to adress the elephant in the room. Food waste. In terms of Climate crisis food waste is insignificant. Eating vegan food has a much bigger impact on your carbon footprint and spending your money on vegan food has a huge economical effect (supply and demand). So keep up the good work in inspiring people to cook and eat delicious vegan food.
i have 2 batches of homemade tofu in fridge already, but i may do this recipe tomorrow. can i use dehydrated mushrooms if i reconstitute them? do they have to be oyster mushrooms? thanks. love your recipes!

I use Nigari for my tofu..and I'm familiar with tofu making, do I just season the milk and carry on as normal? Is the lemon juice about flavor (a must) or just the coagulation? The rest looks brilliant! Can't wait to try this!!

Can you just use silken tofu and keep all the other things the same (add the ingredients you used to make your tofu in at different stage)??

THis looks good. My go to recipe uses walnuts as a base with nutritional yeast, cornstarch and lots of umami flavorings.
I’m allergic to walnuts so they’re not an option for me. I wish they could be!
I have been looking for a walnut substitute that would be workable and effective

I read that as vegan paste.....I'm like what kind of a paste could it be? Just like a general vegan paste? Intriguing.

How would one modify this to make Yorkshire potted beef/beef paste? That is something we really miss....

I'd go for caramelised onion/shallot half and half with toasted walnuts: I loathe fungus too!

lemon is mostly for coagulation but the lemon flavor is welcomed in any food
This looks delicious!! Can the whey be used as well as the curds instead of just throwing it away?
I would probably let my dog drink it up rather than throw it away.
Maybe use it as a flavoring in another meal?
