There also needs to be an option to leave the gate open by the gatehub so it can pulse like there is an obstruction in the way at the gate sensors. To leave the gate open.
@@AndrewBartramcurrently only 29 of the 50 states require a front plate, and most have exemptions for certain vehicles (garbage trucks for example) that aren’t passenger vehicles.
How would I implement the need for access control from the intercom for both entrance and exit of a gate, where there would need to be two intercoms controlling the same gate?
I'm fairly certain the ethernet extenders are available al la carte. I purchased some recently for a camera project. They are under the accessories tab in the Unifi Store
Can garage doors and gates open using Unifi Identity app on phones from a person’s car without the requirement of reaching out to an intercom from the car? This could be useful for garage doors in alleys where a person or tenants may not have an intercom accessible from their car without having to get out of the car.
I wonder if it can read something besides license plates in my state we dont have front license plates (plus my vehicle doesn't have a location for a front tag)
@ubiquiti Are you going to sell the Gate Hub separately? I already bought the intercom several months ago plus a normal door hub anticipating using it on my gate. Can the standard door hub be made to act like a gate in Access?
I am very happy about the development of Gate Access. Thank you! Is there a chance that in the future there will be a version of this intercom without the screen, and with a stainless steel keyboard?
Side Door, can it be controlled separately e.g. open the side door by intercom, readers (handwave morning, no handwave night time). For the Gate, i will need the AI camera open. Is one gate hub able to achieve all these functions? thanks
It’s an option as far as convenience is concerned. However, it doesn’t necessarily have to operate with a license plate camera recognizing an authorized plate, and could operate with the key fob for access.
Not really? You can reposition the camera to face from the rear. It’s all about camera placement identified during the site survey before even installing equipment.
Cool! Now we just have to buy some gates!

The gate opener control board should handle that function. At least in the gates I've worked on they have that feature
What if front plates are not required in my state?
Back in.
Most developed countries have license plates on the front and the back
@@AndrewBartram certain states in the US don’t require front plates

Good question
How 'smart' are the AI cameras and Hub to be able to tell if that's a real number plate or a VERY good photocopy BEFORE allowing access?
That's all solutions to be fair when authentication is image based.
Doesn't even have to be a photocopy. You can just make a real numberplate.
I would very much appreciate your 2 wire extenders being available as a stand alone product. Same for each of the access hubs.
Thanks, we shared your feedback to our teams for review.

Why would the bi-directional gate only have one Intercom?

That's dope, but I'm missing a gate. Does anyone have a spare gate that I can have?

Will it respond to me, walking up with a cardboard cut-out DUPLICATE of a license plate?
Does this work for home garage doors?
My question. Also how hard is it to get the dumb vehicle gate on my sideyard automatic with this.
Is recognition works with european licence plates or only with US ?
Can’t you just fake an approved number plate though?

The AI automatic gate opening detection is only useful if you have a license plate in the front of your vehicle
