I've seen Tony in person a few times and there is no comparison. He is a stand out of his own down to his delivery of the jokes. Always have me in stitches.
I can recall this mans 1st appearance and this is one of those things he stood on , he did his own thing and those who remember Charlie Murphy did his own thing so respect to homes .
Why when black people make it they never wanna help family and friends..ain saying it gotta be everybody but I hear this a lot..I sorry if I had the power I bringing my rep people with me
Y’all don’t know the backstory. Chris has supported tons of comedians. If he didn’t help his brother perhaps there was a reason. We’re only hearing 1 side of the story
@@johnbrown-cv2lr yea but that’s not what Tony is saying! Chris has worked with ppl who repeatedly looks out for him but when it comes to his comedian brothers, he doesn’t do that for them. They don’t even work together, it’s def a black thing.
I just gained so much respect for Chris as a man with how he handled the slap stitch and now I’m told he doesn’t help his brother money wise or gig wise. 🤯
I never understand why people contradict themselves in these interviews. Tony said he didn't want help from Chris because he wanted the respect from his peers, later says he's making calls and doing everything for his younger brother. So, do you not want him to have peer respect, or, did you WANT the help? And if you DID want the help, why shit on others in the industry that had help from their families. Fast talking people work well for comedy, bad for interviews.
That's not a contradiction lol. That's what he wanted for himself and helping his brother doesn't mean his peers won't respect him, even more so depending what Era of comedians he's in. You don't even know if peer respect is important to his brother. If it was he wouldn't let him like Tony did Chris.
@Brandon Cooper first, what he said was 100% a contradiction, but we can agree to disagree. And you're right, I don't know if his brother wants help, you don't either. And I get the whole "era" thing, but I do remember T.I. getting hate from PEERS last year for not paying dues as a comic and "getting on" because of his "name" , but whatever you believe is your truth.
@awoodfin3903 ...a contradiction is him saying he didn't want help and then saying he asked for help or helped his brother who didn't want help for the same reason. What he wants for himself doesn't apply to everybody else regardless of his reason. I know I don't know if his brother wanted help lol that's why I don't see how you made the statement you made without knowing. Without even getting into the weeds TI situation......just naw.
@Brandon Cooper ugh, here we go, first he said there were some who didn't earn it, they used family, he said that as if it was a "bad" thing, then he directly said he helps HIS family as if it was "good", he then said he didn't want to follow in Chris Rocks path, then directly stated he did the same thing. CONTRADICTION: a combination of statements, ideas, or features of a situation that are opposed to one another. a person, thing, or situation in which inconsistent elements are present. the statement of a position opposite to one already made.

Tony rock is a hilarious comedian would like to see his stand up in person.
I like Tony Rock he his own man and doesn't try to be like everyone else
I always liked Tony for some reason. Now I really respect his grind to be his own man. Good comedian as well. IMO
It would be cool if the Rock brothers did a tour together and called it "The Family Rock"
"The Family Rock" is perfect.
alternatives:
Rock it
Let's Rock
Rocked
Slap a Rock and find out
Tony was the funniest. Every time you sa him you’ll start laughing. Much funnier
💡 Tony Yayo and Tony Rock with their own Podcast...."Tony and Tony" or "Yayo and Rock" 💯

I agree

so you just read the title and didn't watch the video?
I yo thank you for all that game that you gave us Tony much respect. Peace Pierre keep it going🤘🏿
I hate when people think just because y'all friends or family your owed something in life. He worked hard. You didn't that simple
He just don’t realize that his brother Chris asked that Fox exec to invite him to LA. 🤣🤣🤣😂😂
Love that hat on you.
If you got talented family friends that are good you should put them on especially if they're hard working dependable reliable
yall should have got a close up on them shoes Pierre on them b's fire
Wait til I drop the Jazze Pha show
Clearly.
Damn I didn’t even know they had other brothers.
Damn Chris didn't help his brother? Now I'm thinking he deserved to get smacked on live tv
Lol
Chris doesn’t strike me as the “help a brotha out” type. I bet Pierre team is darker than Chris’.
Chris was the one who encouraged him to do comedy and when Tony decided to pursue it he blatantly told Chris not to help him
He didn’t want Chris to help him
tony sound like denzil washington

The same can be said for all people...full of contradictions.

the statement of a position opposite to one already made.
Yes he did. Just the Rock name helped him come up.
Tony Rock is funny but Crack rock is hilarious
If he wanted to go the comedy route , he should have changed his last name and start a fresh path..
hating on the Wayans lmao
That’s ALL you got out of this clip? Wow. It’s people that’s the problem in this world
Maybe, if he actually struggled and went to clubs and did the work, this nobody would be a somebody.
