Daniel Holmes This is still one of my favorite shooters ever of all time. Was such a fantastic game and its a real shame EA decided to drop it form Origin. Hell compared to the newer shooters out there they could probably still make money off 1942.
Games had some serious intros back in the day. This game and Empire Earth had some of the best intros I’ve ever seen. Chills every-time I watch both. Takes me right back.
+fuzzyferretdude I actually still have it, my computer just really sucks. I have the bundle somewhere that has 1942 with Secret weapons of WWII and road to roam as well as Vietnam.
+Smithlinkiller same here, and speaking of, i have a playthrough of the campeihgn mode that i havn't touched since 2008, i think it's time to sink some battleships
Back in 2003, a WW2 vet saw me playing this game on a internet cafe... 5 minutes later he also take a PC besides me and played with me all the day. Now hes ded :C
when i first loaded this up in 2002, i was totally blown away! the FPS game prior to this was Counterstrike, small scale gun battle in close quarter maps. 16 v 16 this game let you fly Zeros, command battlecruisers, submarines, drive tanks, and push flags as a team up to 32 v 32 the commander playing chess moves against the enemy commander and support the forces. oh man this was epic
I always got the biggest chills down my spine when launching Battlefield and watching this. I still do actually. This game was one of my greatest childhood memories.
Oh my god, I've played this game for ages, but only now I realised one thing: how comes that there's only one scene with russian vehicle? When Russian front was the main one
The coolest aspect of this trailer is that they didn't make an heroic action packed intro just to make it feel like a massive super cool game, they managed to make an intro that just reflected war and what war can look like, no more than that, and it's an historic game intro that will never be forgotten
I'm not here to talk about Transformers now, but do you know what "optimus prime" means? It means "(their) first and (their) best". That's what this game was. First and best of its series.
used to LAN the Wake Island demo with my dad and brothers back when I got my first hand-me-down PC at 9 years old. This is easily the least-skipped intro of any game I've ever played
I cant believe they even butchered the theme song for battlefield 2042, 5 years old me would be so disappointed seeing the state of the new Battlefield.... sad
My favorite game by far. First shooter I played online. First game where I was in a clan and doing active league games (ClanBase). Miss the times when developers / publishers released games that were moddable. I mean they even shipped the tooling with the game. The best thing is that the game is still not dead. Playing it a couple of times during the week. Not as many full servers as there used to be but you're always able to join a game with 40+ people.
I've never skipped this intro before playing.
:D same

Same x100000000000
Unwritten rule of battlefield. Booting up a game for The first time. Into must be watched
I did. ONCE (this is her brother not her actual person)
2021 and this intro still gives me goosebumps. It's terrifyingly good.
2022
2023
2023 it's still gives me gooseboomps too.
🥰
2023 and it so does, it just captured the excitement of the game perfectly.. even tho you never got it, it was what you wanted in the perfect battle.
Chills and memories... That's what I feel whatching this master piece.
Damn right you are! J was 12 when I first loades on my pc this masterpiece, many years later, chills all over my body, what a game!!!
Same. When i had 6 years my unclw show me this..
Dice need to make battlefield 1942 remastered
be sure they will and the day of its release will be the official death of COD
why this game is good
battlefield 1942 remastered is coming next year
I think they tried.
i guess not
This game is a legend
old good times and this is still the best battlefield games EA have made :D
EA made this?
ea and dice made it.
P.S. Many good memories
Caleb Cavanaugh EA is the publisher, Dice made the game. Just to correct you
Morvantez ikr
Man that theme music will never get old
This was the first shooter I ever played, brings back so much memories :D
Louis vdv It was my favorite shooter when i found it a few years ago for free but now its removed from Origin :(
Daniel Holmes This is still one of my favorite shooters ever of all time. Was such a
fantastic game and its a real shame EA decided to drop it form Origin.
Hell compared to the newer shooters out there they could probably still
make money off 1942.
+Daniel Holmes there's a bundle of all of BF1942 on amazon, i think it's like 10-20$ it includes all of the expansions, and battlefield veitnam.
Same, with halo 2 and max payne
Lets accept that this intro was masterpiece for its own time.
Disliked because of that stupid fake "loading" self-promotion shit.
Games had some serious intros back in the day. This game and Empire Earth had some of the best intros I’ve ever seen. Chills every-time I watch both. Takes me right back.
Way way way way better than nowadays CoD.
+AaronTheGuy It's BF
+scylk No shit.. he meant that it's still better than nowadays CoD
+TheBarlettan The comparison even more stupid then.
I know.
Back when games had spirit and passian, an era before me.
they should make a remaster. A real one, not a pale copy of it like Battlefield V.
This was 2001 right? Pretty impressive for such an early game.
2002 this was my first fps and what got into history and ww2 stuff. and goddamn this game's fun!
+fuzzyferretdude it was my first fps. I haven't played it in a long time though.
+Smithlinkiller well you should pick it up then man! and to enhance the game, check out forgotten hope, it's a goddamn awesome mod
+fuzzyferretdude I actually still have it, my computer just really sucks. I have the bundle somewhere that has 1942 with Secret weapons of WWII and road to roam as well as Vietnam.

1:16 this part of the video is legend!
Ambush on Tiger
@@predzky8133 i mean of the theme
best intro music ever
Fabulous game; fabulous score. Love it. Stirs the spirit and the blood.
All these years later, it still remains, for me, one of the best video games ever made. So many good times.
Congratulations to DigitalLife for making me remember the good and old times memories
The best part about this trailer is that is shows the scale of the game. 32v32 in 2002 was insane!
Back in 2003, a WW2 vet saw me playing this game on a internet cafe...
5 minutes later he also take a PC besides me and played with me all the day.
Now hes ded :C
That's sad ;-;
0:12 Where our memories start
EA Game exactly challenging everything :(
This guy has already been cursing us with his personal intro for 10 years
Skip this 0:20 Pin me
The cold war of childhood.
I mean homework!😂
Hai philipp
I remember playing this game for hours when I was a kid..... now my kids play this game
Yeah right.. as if you had kids...
when i first loaded this up in 2002, i was totally blown away!
the FPS game prior to this was Counterstrike, small scale gun battle in close quarter maps. 16 v 16

shrugs and sheds tears misses this game so much :( shout out to all the 30 year old gamers:)
im 53 and still playing war games i was younger then in me 40s when this come out
Lol startet with 30 to play this one
@@jhorn1351 thats the thing about a great game it appeals to all ages groups
I always got the biggest chills down my spine when launching Battlefield and watching this. I still do actually. This game was one of my greatest childhood memories.

This was 20 years ago?
I love this game and its intro + best soundtrack ever! You are rigth Morvantez Engstad
They need to bring this game to console or steam or something I need to play it again
Casi 20 años han pasado y sigue siendo una de las mejores intros de la historia...
I'm not here to talk about Transformers now, but do you know what "optimus prime" means? It means "(their) first and (their) best".
That's what this game was. First and best of its series.
The intro looks badass in 480P !
I wish people played this again, it was the best game for the time, come on EA just redo the graphics and you have me sold
The intro at very beginning of this vid, cheapens this very experience of this first class music
I wish this was the song they used in the BF6 trailer tbh
The greatest game ever for every NATIONAL who loves to DEFEND HIS LAND TILL DEATH. :)
Long fall from this, now we hit the bottom with bf 2042
THE BEST VIDEO FOR 2ND WORLD WAR GAMES ....
the final slow trumpet gives me goosebumps
2019?
Here in 2020. Like if you’re too. If you have searched this intro you’re probably a king.
Вспомнил 2002 😢
Хорошая игра мы с друзьями иногда играли вплоть до 10-х годов!
This is the intro of memories, made to last, made to remember, no matter the cost!
Every failure a lesson learned
Every day of defeat a victory
Why does this make me sad? You can boot this up for free and play it why am I sad like its gone???
imagine if bf5 was like this
this was my childhood game, G.G.O.A.T
This intro just makes you feel your in the battle field
Never noticed until now that it's the Yamato or Musashi at 0:50
Best intro for a WW2 game by faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar, even for today standards
i wasted so many summers and weekends on this game and MoH AA along with all the expansions, and i regret nothing they will never top this
a PC game in the early 2000 has battleships and submarines and planes. Why they dont make that in newer Battlefields??
And don't forget Botsupport and even Usermade Maps.. and Server which you can modify up to 255 Players per one game
what happened :(
If anyone wants that Battlefield 1942 feeling again I recommend Enlisted or Hell Let Loose
Ahhh, back when EA and Dice actually cared about making a good and finished product without "surprise mechanics" out the ass.
"WE GOT THEM ON THE RUN"
Why can’t games joke like this? This is fucking awesome
Still the best BF of all Times, miss it very much :/
used to LAN the Wake Island demo with my dad and brothers back when I got my first hand-me-down PC at 9 years old. This is easily the least-skipped intro of any game I've ever played
Amazing and epic intro, the best battlefield for me
1:45 piel de gallina❤
This Intro is better than whole BF5. What a disappointment DICE!
It's almost 2024, and I'm still waiting for a rework of this masterpiece of the gaming industry.
YOU CAME BACK BECAUSE OF BATTLEFIELD PORTAL.
2:18
U-96 decals!
1:35 meet me in Pochinki
hahahahahahahahahahahaha nice comment
I cant believe they even butchered the theme song for battlefield 2042, 5 years old me would be so disappointed seeing the state of the new Battlefield.... sad
Good old memories from when I was like 10 and aways wanted to play this game after school.
My favorite game by far. First shooter I played online. First game where I was in a clan and doing active league games (ClanBase). Miss the times when developers / publishers released games that were moddable. I mean they even shipped the tooling with the game. The best thing is that the game is still not dead. Donde Comenzó todo que recuerdos :')
melhor intro de todas
I'm just going to say that we now have British men with katanas and women on the front line using prosthetic hand.
Yep Battlefield 5 is incomparable :(
My gosh my childhood game,I miss this,I can't play it anymore I have no pc..
compare this to the battlefield 2042 trailer, why became every shooter so overexaggerated?
Сука,от воспоминаний аж мурашки по коже...
*AGREE......BEST BATTLEFIELD EVER.....BEST MUSIC INTRO EVER FOR FPS SHOOTER GAME*
If only Battlefield V would be like this... :(
CHALLENGE EVERYTHING :D
Is still hands down and forever the best battlefield game
1:10 This is epic
Dice made game EA published it
this is better than the 2042 trailer
Those were the times!
The time where everything (almost) had limited ammo.
Yep
13 second intro? seems legit
you its stupid meta you its los mejores top 10 speek argentina you meta its speek inglish
Los Mejores top 10 Eres imbecil?
Instead of making new BF or CoD games DICE and Activision should just remaster, BF1942 and the original CoD
chils...
Back when battlefield was actually a great game now we have shitty games like BF5 and BF2042
This game made me quit console playing and started pc gaming. I loved it playing online.
I always watch this back then. It is like watching a piece of scene from WW2 history
The only game that never get his intro skipped
This > BF5
I want hellendoorn multiplayer servers back :(
Great intro,i already have the game but without this intro,is not the complete version. In the game left a lot of maps inluding the Battle of Bratain.
