    You've never heard of Henri Jacques Parfums?? Love that part, I only have one from HJ Dentelle Au Coeur, didn't think it would be my thing but it was a recommendation from a trusted nose and I'm glad I did... it's wonderful in what it does, given time to bloom and enjoy from then on.
    An ex of mine I remember while shopping in Paris when she set eyes on an HJ it always illiceted an 'Ooh la la'. They had so many back then I can't remember which one I bought for her but it was beautiful as was the bottle. And what fantastic unboxings, you must be stoked. Can't wait to hear you take on those.
    I'm off to another auction tomorrow and I've seen in the catalogue something that's caught my attention, will report back.

    Congrats on obtaining one of the grails from that collection. I'm not quite done with the vid yet, but wanted to mention that the collar might have come off when you pulled the cap. If you look inside the cap, you'll probably find a piece of the collar that goes around the sprayer. Okay back to vid...

    • @RamseytheRam
      @RamseytheRam  2 года назад +2

      The whole sprayer came off when I tried to open the cap & look at it again (lucky I didnt spill it everywhere ☹️)
      Russian Adam was instantly kind enough to tell me he will send me a new cap & sprayer... just going to put it back and not touch it until the new equipment arrives 🙏🏻

    Nice of Adam. I remember a lot of people mentioning that he can’t make it again.
    I’ve bothered him so many times about Santal galore and if he would make it again lol. But no luck… so far.
    Unfortunately the perfumes are thick and the materials start to thicken and the sprayers some times clog up.
    I haven’t had that issue thankfully, but I hear Adam always takes care of it by sending replacement atomizers. So customer service is great.

    Henry Jacques is hard to sample too… so many I want to try…

    Chypre >>> Fougere for me too. Always. This review is bomb. I’ve refrained from getting into Henry jacques for the most part because of the fear of drowning myself in debt. They do have spray versions for almost all of their oils. And it’s the same as what they charge for the 15 ml oil version. Though their quality is great, I don’t think there is “uniqueness’ to some of their offerings (from what I’ve smelled so far). I am planning on smelling more of their perfumes after which I will have my final verdict on this house.

    Awesome video, man! I love the honesty. And as someone new to fragrances I don't understand brands like this or some of the Clive Christian that don't seem to be doing 'enough' or different enough or have their own identity to warrant the price. Especially when there are artists like Russian Adam and Ensar Oud and Sultan Pasha etc. who offer more of an experience and identity in perfume than these luxury brands do.
    That being said, I've never actually had the chance to smell Areej Le Dore or Ensar Oud, because they're - for the time being - still way out of my price range. I would be interested if you could make a video or two where you sort of provide alternatives to Ensar Oud or Areej Le Dore at a lower price. or maybe some fragrances that give you a similar experience and olfactory journey as those two brands give you. Kind of like a stepping stone towards Areej and Ensar and brands like that. Hearing your take on that would be awesome, because you've smelled a lot more than many people, I think! Anyway, just a thought.
    Thanks again for all the videos! Been devouring them daily!

    • @RamseytheRam
      @RamseytheRam  2 года назад +2

      Thank you for the support and kind words and to be honest I dont think there is a brand that can compete with Areej le Dore or Ensar Oud.... I think Russian Adams pricing is much more consumer friendly than Sultan Pasha but you are correct to put them on the mountain top as very few brands on Earth compete with the experience they provide you. You can put Bortnikoff on that list along with Papillon. Salome and Anubis are are probably two of the best bang for your buck dollar wise even though they are expensive Liz Moores pricing is very reasonable ..unfortunately this is an expensive hobby but over the years as you pick your spots your collection will grow 🤩
