I own this Roja. I quite like it, but I don’t detect Oud at all. I do like it though. It’s a fragrance I wear when I went to present as put together. Solid fragrance.

I smelled this at Harrods a few years back in London. It’s actually kinda nice from memory. The H Oud is also nice. And let me describe the “Salon de Parfums” at Harrods: It’s the top floor of the building and you need to wind through a fucking maze to find the tiny escalator to go up like 8 feet to the entry. The Salon (🤮) is a long ass white walled hallway with little rooms on both sides for each brand. Roja has the biggest one. Each room has 1-2 sales people sitting on their hands with nothing to do but they’ll happily push their lack of knowledge on you and be intrusive. The only, and I mean only, redeeming thing is the Harrods exclusive room at the far end of the hallway. It’s a tiny room with every Harrods exclusive and no sales person. It’s where I tested literally every exclusive 😂 and why I bought H Mamba by SHL.

The “normal” fragrance floor is like 3 times the size of the Neiman in Dallas, if you’ve been. And there are just sales people hawking $300 bottles like spices at a bazaar haha it’s wild
Great video. Agree with you on many points, but it sounds like your beef isn't free bottles, but where they come from. What about places like fragrancebuy or jomashop sending bottles? By the way, I know this sounds self serving, but I am not receiving or even being offered free bottles, I'm just talking shop here. I don't think it's the free bottles that corrupt, I think the people who are corrupted by them would be already. You either trust the reviewer or not. I think it's pretty obvious when a reviewer actually likes something VS when they are brand hyping. Idk, every industry has "review copies". Granted these are way more than a free movie ticket. Idk, I'm conflicted because I think people are not that good at hiding their real feelings.
I dont mind fragrancebuy sending free bottles as they dont care what the reviewer says .. the brands do care and will strike you off the list if you say anything bad about them... thats the difference Anooj from enchante doesnt give a damn whether I like them or not Allie who sent me the Amouage Silver doesnt care either But the brands are different

It's not like Ferrari where you can be barred from buying from them, ya know? Give the companies a chance, Ram. It was the same glorious capitalism which has caused this industry to flourish.
@@RamseytheRam amazing review tho. But with so many perfumes under his portfolio, there is always chances of repetition. And I do smell a lot of repetitions in his Pierre de Valey or semi bespoke lines.
