What I was surprised is that, Jpan already got mobile SNS service before the smartphone era. In my place, those old phone couldn't do anything online. Maybe due to our telecom provider didn't bother introduce those thing.

Don't know how it was in Japan, but over here phones could go online pretty early, it just was damn slow and expensive as hell.
