You're the Best karl! Keep them coming 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Karl, you’re the man. Love this whole new journey for you guys.
6:57 doesn’t Loreal also own Lancome? It would certainly make sense why they’re worth that much if they own a luxury brand as well as a drugstore brand, that’s really widespread.
I love this! Thank you! I am not in the bathroom watching, but I have been there! Thank you, I do like your humor.
Same, and I always wash my hands.
The Mars family also owns the VCA which is one of the largest veterinarian companies in the US
We've got a VCA clinic in our city of 80,000.
“I’m very very sorry to mention it” 😂
Please do one that focuses on investment groups, because if you look into it it's impressive and depressing how massive these business conglomerates are.
I am in-fact pooping at work watching this video
Don.
Me too😂
You forgot to mention the thousands of Walmart employees who need food stamps to get by, despite working full or nearly full-time hours. The Waltons are so shady they double dip on tax evasion!
Nice report!!
I like Karl AND Simon! Both fun presenters and warm to the screen.
interesting and informative ( you did wonderfully in holding down your distaste)
Yamaha also made archery equipment, I was absolutely gutted when they quit that business as it was pretty decent kit
Hitachi sells personal massagers and industrial construction equipment 🤷🏻♂️
The Bic name is synonymous with ink pens, razor blades, and lighters. Setting the industry standard in all three.
5:56 exactly. Some luxury brands are worth a little more, but a lot of them are just ridiculously overpriced because they can be more because I know someone will pay it or because they think it makes them look stylish just because of the brand - - like Gucci, especially, but also Hermes and Louis Vuitton. There’s a difference between paying a little more, maybe twice if it’s something as inexpensive as a T-shirt, rather than say 50 times as much if it’s a purse or a coat. like the limited edition Hermes Apple Watch was I think $1500 just because of the strap, which was actually rather ugly looking. Literally, the only other difference.was a static face with the Hermes logo.
I love how people think the president controls inflation and will curse him for it but won't talk about the companies raising their prices while decreasing the sizes of their products. Walmart is price gouging right now.
That’s true. And the more money the government has to spend the less the dollar is worth
Get this, Walmart is so messed up, my wife works there and we grocery shop elsewhere because we get higher quality food for roughly the same price. The number of times we've found the same product for the same exact price while the Walmart product being smaller....
Also, we all gotta have jobs. And she doesn't work in store. For any smartasses bound to comment 😂
Because many humans now lack basic logic like you.
That's why once in a while, I have to go to Temu and grab a few Chinese made products for pennies. If they last long enough to be used twice, they've already paid for themselves. Sometimes little wins are my only wins
@goosenotmaverick1156 I don't think that's uncommon. My mom worked for Hannaford a long time ago and she would shop at Market Basket. Still goes there, actually. No reason to pay more for less
I now know how to pronounce Moet correctly. Thank you Sir
As a lifelong Arkansan, I can say the Walton family is horrible.
15:44 that is absolutely disgusting, especially considering how little they pay their employees, and how poorly the employees are treated. The wealthiest have a duty to look after the poorest.
A brilliant exposure, not to bash, but informative. Even if intent to bash, great. It doesn't change anything, as this has been historically repeated throughout centuries. Ignorance has always been easier to play than beating a drum - without a musical/rhythmic intent. Appreciated
Beretta is the oldest company. Probably not family owned though.
Maybe I missed the criteria for making this list, but I’m a little surprised that the Porsche/Piech family didn’t make the list. Given that they own over 30% of the value of the VW group (through their holding company Porsche SE), and actually over 50% of the voting rights, surely that would make them eligible. Granted they didn’t start VW, but certainly without them it probably wouldn’t exist.
6:44 you think most, if not, at least some of the daughters would hyphenate their names, like Hermes-Dumas
2:59 Stop judging. I've had too much coffe ;)
I love Karl.
The Waltons are from my home state in the US.
Really, REALLY interesting list!!!!!!!
Next: top ten salary of some CEOs
As examples why we/consumers need to do our part in slowly "canceling" them
Ex. Reduce/stop shopping at amazon
Shop bulk so shopping at other stores can be reduced
Love your face Karl!!!
i know both of those pseudonyms
Living in the general area Walmart began... Ill say this.
1. Walmart sucks. Theyve ruined the area under the guise of improvement for years.
2. Sam Walton would roll over in his grave with how things are run now, but its too late.
How does someone who owns a mansion worth Buckingham Palace not write a will???
I misread the Dumas family as the Duras....
dammit! why'd I have to be in the wrong lee family!?!!
The REAL Slim Shady?😅
The real shady slim
7:38 went to school with the girl, whose last name was Bettencourt. I wonder if there’s any relation, lol.
Why does this intro have the air of ignoring the fact people are willing use what the companies offer is what make them rich. You always ignore the starting point for companies and the companies that fell apart along the way in history of business
Was the writer scared that he might pissed off some rich people by ranking them too low or not at all?.
I wonder if simon watches these😂
You're welcome
Sent from my Toto Washlet
10:34 Well wait; if it’s privately owner( why is there a board? I thought a board of executives was only for publicly traded companies. I don’t think you can outright own a company if it’s probably traded. If I’m wrong, could somebody please explain this?
Your right, if a public company is owned by one person then it is usually made a private company since there will be no trading of stock. But all limited companies have a board, it’s part of the legal structure of a limited company.
@@darkmooink69
By limited, you mean an LLC?
4:48 I think it’s one of the ugliest buildings/houses I’ve ever seen. It feels like it’s just several different buildings built on top of each other by different architects, with no thought to the others or how it will look as a whole. Parts of it just look like a Chinese takeout container.
I can see adding on floors throughout the years, but you’d think they’d start with a single vision, and then either continue it or at least compliment it.
The Koch family in the USA??
There's no such thing as legal or illegal drugs it all depends on who you pay
I watched because I felt compelled to, but it just aggravates me to see people with billions when so many people are hungry, homeless or sick and can't afford health care.
No oil barrons/muslims?
4th of all, how did that become an analytic?
Eat the rich
It's so crazy that we've infantilized ourselves so much that we have to beep Nazi.
RUclips hates it.
I know. That's what's crazy
No guys, it's not "Rothschild" .
Sorry i cant i was here for simon
Why is this channel still alive?
Why would it not be, it's a top ten channel !
Because while we might miss Simon, we recognize that Karl is actually a suitable replacement.
Karl is great and Simon is everywhere 😂
Why are you?
He’s no replacement for Simon
Where is Simon he's the reason I started watching this channel
The owner of the channel messed up!
The split was polite and amicable in the end, but yes.
@@jaded_gerManic well aye, and she said it, she dropped the ball and messed up!
He has another channel now and this one I barely watch now
Obviously you didn't watch much, if you're just noticing.
It's been MONTHS 😂😂
I am so proud that the richest family are Americans! Yes! And it is what "the old country" calls "new money" . .. hey, it's still more!
