My home organ is gone..

  • Well, not really, but at least it's not in the old apartment anymore! On Wednesday the guys from the Kisselbach organ company picked up my 3 manual organ an transported it to our new appartment. I got the chance to record them transporting the instrument and also fixing one of the keys of the organ. At last we are hearing the instrument again - this organ is an absolute joy to play and sounds pretty impressive!
I hope you'll enjoy this documentary style video and the improvisation with the native sounds of my Gloria organ at the end of the video!

Thanks Paul. It’s with a sense of wonder when you realise that in that console and all your sample-set software are faithful replicas in terms of the sound of a number famous, and often very large, historical instruments. What a world today for a skilled young organist like yourself.

Very interesting , I wondered what sort of speakers they used and the configuration of the circuits. I had a 1893 Estey organ delivered to my place about 32 years ago and had to take all the doors of and widen the frame on one by 25mm just to get it in. Im in the process of building a VPO but it also has some synthesiser capacity. I'm hand building the pedal board but I think it was one project I wish I hadn't started. It is complicated.
Again thak you for showing your amazing work.
