Despite the threat of people doing nefarious things to young people wanting to celebrate Halloween…..I’m still excited for Halloween aka ‘free candy for parents day’ to get here 😂😂
Yeah that's scary. And the kids can't possibly remember where each piece of candy came from so if they did get something crazy it'd be really hard to narrow down exactly where it came from to report it
I also had the same rule, trick or treat all you want but don't eat anything until the candy has been inspected. I guess it's so ingrained in my head that it's a rule that I've been passing on to my daughter. Whether it's legitimate or not, I don't know. I definitely wouldn't put it past people. I'd rather err on the side of caution. I do remember when I was a kid and my mom was checking my candy one year. She was looking at a bag of chips and noticed on the back of the bag, right underneath the seam, there was a cut with a piece of invisible scotch tape. She showed me and it got thrown out immediately. So who knows lol. Great episode as always!!!! 🖤🖤
Awesome episode! I remember the pixy stick f@&ker. 🤨. Sicko. Better off with him gone. My parents started checking our candy the vwey next year, it freakes them out so badly. And wveey year after that until we stopped trick or treating. I amways checked my kids’ candy, and chucked anything that looked like it was out of the wrapper, or that the wrapper wasn’t intact. Idk if it really made a difference, but all three made it to adulthood, and I felt better having done it! 😁💜👍🏻
I remember having to wait til my parents inspected my Halloween candy… but we also didn’t go to “strangers” much either… we only went to people we knew… I think trunk or treat has RUINED Halloween… all the soft/gentle parents safekeeping and being helicopter parents in a soft society nowadays… blah-humbug
Never heard of trunk or treat until the “vid” and it’s still not a thing in my part on southern Ontario. I did go through my boys loot not to check for tampering like I told them but to remove half wrapped stuff…quality control and of course quality control tax 😂

@javineranger2789 i wish Leah was still young enough to trick or treat or that we lived in a neighborhood so that I had an excuse to buy candy 😆
And no one is going to hand out their edibles… let’s be real here… lol 😂
Likelihood is low for intentional due to cost but what about accidental?
Great stories. I did not know the ledge of the pumpkin craving. Thank you for sharing
🖤🎃👻🖤
The devil isn't very smart, that's why I don't trust him😂 drugs that look like candy scare me the most

Love your story times! Yay, couldn’t eat any of my candy haul until it was checked. I also threw out anything unwrapped in my kids treats, cause yuck!
Same all around!
We can all thank ireland for halloween!
I wish kids could learn what halloween really was.
Its a new beginning. Or the end of another hard year
Who knows maybe it'll come up again before the end of the month and if not, then next year 😀
I carve 🎃 I love Halloween ❤. I always check candy because that gives me an excuse to eat some. I know Bad Mommy 😂

I did the same and the same was done for me. I always wondered where that started. Now we know 😞
