I dont know how its like in other countries but in Israel the army is something that is close to all people it is a peoples army so this music is very much part of our national ost, a part of our lives from childhood :) and it is heard in all happy days so as an Isreali when ever i hear this music it always makes me feel happpyyy and secure. To me it is lovely and full of the joy of life which is very very Israeli feeling :))) i hope you can feel that too.

I recently heard an a capella rendition of this. I didn't know it was the March of the IDF, and it sounded a little bit like it could've been a carnival tune. It was quite obviously a march in retrospect after I found out (and it was even more obvious once I heard it here with proper instrumentation), but my first thought was somewhat amusing.
