    Telecaster Tuesday...
SECOND in my series of comparison videos comparing the sounds of these two Fender Telecasters. This time just some simple parts played to a drum track.
    1. '93 USA Standard (original pickups)
    2. '96 JD Tele (Made in Japan, Jerry Donahue signature model)
Neither of these particular guitars has a standard 3 way switch (JD tele came with a 5 way as standard and this USA tele has had a 4 way fitted at a later date), but for these tests I've omitted the extra positions on each and am only comparing the three standard Telecaster settings (Bridge, Neck and both pickups together).
Both guitars are plugged into a Strymon Iridium with the settings kept exactly the same for both guitars.
Which is best? Which one did I keep?

Both are very good sounding guitars,to me the US version is more versatile,is better in clean, jazz and heavy sounds, still i like the JD Telecaster more, the looks, the V shaped neck, double bound body.
A good friend bought a JD last month and i love this guitar.
Value wise,a JD will probably rise in value, instead of the 93 US Telecaster. Signature modells are quite populariteit in demand. And there aren't this lots of Japanese Signature versions brought out over the years.
Last month, there was a Squire Hank Marvin Signature offered at the Veenendaal Vintage Show for €1200.To me,a ridiculous asking price.

People seem to have different opinions. Overall I prefer the USA one but the Japanese one is also a great guitar!
