Please do a sew along for the last dress (S9949) in your video. I just ordered this pattern myself and being able to watch a video for this dress would be super helpful. Thank you!
Hi Gina! I'm a new subscriber (I live in the US) and have thoroughly enjoyed your video. Thank you! I would actually love to see how you design and make the jersey top with woven skirt. I recently saw another dress using this idea and thought it was brilliant. And I still love a good sew-along. I look forward to your future vlogs. ☺
The older ones are tricky to nail the sizing for sure! I definitely think the newer ones are better. Silly question but are you using the right seam allowance? It's 5/8 inch for most big 4 patterns which is huge. I always chose to ignore it and realised it wasn't helping me out at all 😂❤
Would love to see the Free People recreation, the part stretch and part cotton. I also love Free People. Mood Sewiety recently released a pattern for a rouched stretch bodice with a gather skirt dress which I have been tempted to try. The pattern is for more of a gown, but I would make it a mini.
I would love to see a sew along for the pants with the inset panel. Looks very interesting and I’m dying to make it. I have a problem with pants too bc of my hips and booty lol so I completely understand where ur coming from. Love your videos. Thank you. And looking forward to more content from you. Hope all is going well with your wedding gown! 👏🏼
I loved this video! I’m most excited for the Daily Sleeper dress, the milkmaid dress, and the free people deep V dress. And you have the most beautiful favorite choices for them! 😍 I’d love a sew along for these in particular!
Thank you so much for watching! The daily sleeper inspired one was definitely the top of my list so it's finished and the video should be up this weekend 🥰
Loved this video! Can’t wait to see the finished garments. I have a Pinterest board also and have been recreating the look. You save so much money and it’s fun 🤩. Looking forward to your next video. 🪡🧵👗🥰
Some gorgeous dresses here! Re tacking down the pleats i wonder if hem tape could also be an option? Could do as you pleat and maybe make the sewing part a little easier too.
I vote no sew alongs for any of them, as I imagine it takes a lot longer to make something when you're filming as well, and I just want you to get all your wedding projects done in as stress-free a manner as possible. I'm happy just to hear you talk about your plans and show and talk about the finished garments. As I compromise, I'm willing to let you film just the pattern hacking portion so you have some valuable content to share. 😄 Have you tried any of the Simplicity Amazing Fit collection for trousers? They have different pattern pieces for a slim, average, and curvy fit, and helpful construction order and tips for fitting as you go.
Good luck with your plans! I noticed, in your background, you also have the same Vogue skirt pattern (the one with the asymmetrical ruffle?) that I do. I've been wanting a sew-along for that. If one doesn't exist, could you please consider making one? Thanks!
Really enjoy your videos and snippets of where you source some of the fabrics, always good to checkout some of the smaller stores. I'm currently troubleshooting a McCalls dress like you have on but the sleeves just keep slipping off. Any tips? I've shortened the elastic but that pulls up the armhole which then sits too tight, it's like the sleeve needs to be wider on the back and front pieces. Driving me nuts!
Thank you so much for watching! Glad you liked the fabrics too 😊 which pattern is it? Sometimes for elastic sleeves I add a tie across the back (at the top of my shoulder blades) because I have tiny shoulders and it's difficult to avoid that with some shapes! It also adds an extra detail which is cute 😊❤
@@ginaseams sorry I just saw this reply! It is McCalls 8211 (very similar to your 7946), ended up putting some elastic on the top edge on the back as well as reducing the elastic length along the front and that seems to have solved the issue. If I make it again I think I'll try one shirring the back or your suggestion with the tie. Thanks for that 🙂
Thank you so much for watching ❤️ I used bias binding for the neck and armholes with a keyhole detail as the back to get it on and off. I definitely made it too small though so need to pay more attention this time 😂❤
Hi Gina, I‘m currently sewing the dream frock dress by Lydia Naomi. I was wondering, how did you lengthen your skirt? Did you do the 1/4 circle skirt modification that Lydia shows in her RUclips video? Also, if you end up sewing those pants, could give some tips on how to sew pants for curvy people? I would appreciate it❤
Hiya! Firstly, great pattern choice I love this pattern 😊 I actually just did a huge rectangle and gathered it in so it was much easier to adjust the length. If you're doing the original skirt there is a section on my DVF wrap dress vlog where I show how to lengthen that shape skirt, you'd just need some tracing paper to go underneath to replace the pattern piece. Hopefully that makes sense ❤
Please sew along for all of them, I enjoy watching your videos and want to get inspiration from the beautiful dresses you make ❤️
Thank you so much for watching ❤️ great to have another fellow dress lover here 😆
Love this video. All sewalongs gratefully received!
Please do a sew along for the last dress (S9949) in your video. I just ordered this pattern myself and being able to watch a video for this dress would be super helpful. Thank you!
Noted! It looks like it's going to be more tricky fit-wise so I think that would definitely be helpful ❤
Well, now I'm inspired to get my plans together! I love the fabrics and patterns you've chosen for them. Great video ✂
Yay, so pleased to have offered some inspiration! Happy sewing ❤️
so loving the milkmaid dresses! really wanna sew one myself one day ❤
It's an amazing pattern, you should definitely give it a go ❤️
I would love a sew-a-long of the jersey and cotton. That could turn out very cute!!
Coming very soon! The fabric arrived today, I'm excited for this one ❤️
Its the pink and red dress I NEED to recreate! I love it!
It's a the best colour combination 🩷❤️
Love getting inspired to create my own “sew the look”. Your fabric choices are beautiful and looking forward to seeing your creations!
Thank you so much ❤️ hopefully I get most of these done 😂
Can't wait to see your creations
Thank you for watching 🥰
I would love a sew along for McCalls 8282, Simplicity 9949 😍

All these plans are exciting, and I am really looking forward to seeing the finished garments 😊 You'll look gorgeous in all of them!
Thank you so much! I really hope I can get the majority of them done 😆❤️
Beautiful dresses! I always struggle with the extra ease in the McCalls/Simplicity patterns and end up with sacks 😊
The older ones are tricky to nail the sizing for sure! I definitely think the newer ones are better. Silly question but are you using the right seam allowance? It's 5/8 inch for most big 4 patterns which is huge. I always chose to ignore it and realised it wasn't helping me out at all 😂❤
Oh yes please...love watching you sew ....those dresses are beautiful
What a lot of beautiful fabrics and ideas that you have for them. I can't wait to see them when they're done in the fabrics that you've showed.
Thanks so much for watching 🥰 I'm already finished on the first one and starting on the next today!
Love to see the tutorials-I love to see the process from beginning to end 😊

That last, brown dress is my favorite of these beautiful dresses! ❤
Please sew all of them! Or any of the dresses, especially the one with puff sleeves. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing Gina! Would love a tutorial of your half knit half cotton dress I bought the material for it today. Love this idea!

Thanks Gina. Lovely plans. Where can we see your Simplicity videos? 😊
Everything is so beautiful, can't wait to see it done 🥰
I'd love a sew along of m8507. I love it and the waist instructions have confused me slightly, I think it would be helpful to have a video aid!
Hi Gina, would to see sew slo gs for thrm all, big ask I know. Gwen. Hope the wedding dress is coming along well

New subscriber here. I just bought pattern s9949. A sew along video would be greatly appreciated. It would help me so much. Thanks 😊
Please sew along for the pants!

McCalls 8476 just came out with a dress that is knit on the top and woven on the bottom if you don't want to draft your own.
Thank you so much! I did spot that one, I love the neckline on it 😊
Great vlog as alway. How did you recreate the dress you gave to your sister as in the neck and armholes I get how to do it with just a bandeau top ❤❤
Thank you so much for watching ❤️ I used bias binding for the neck and armholes with a keyhole detail as the back to get it on and off. I definitely made it too small though so need to pay more attention this time 😂❤

And absolutely yes to trousers tip and tricks 😊
Hi! What pattern will you be using for the Maria de la Orden Smocked dress?
Hiya! I'll be self drafted that one using a basic bodice block, that's what I did for my sister's set and it worked really well 😊
