I agree.. Troy is one of my best friends.. that stolen renamed marketed "Carolina Reaper" from Ed is a complete watered down rip off of Troy. Ed keeps paying Guinness to keep that title.
I’m in Gainesville Florida. This is my first year growing peppers. I started the seeds late (in April) before I knew people start them before the last freeze. I guess we can grow them almost year around though down here. I’m growing Jalafuego jalapeños and Candy Cane sweet peppers. The plants are thriving in 3 gallon containers with Fox Farms Happy Frog soil. I added some 10-10-10 granular slow release fertilizer. I picked a lot of the early flowers off of each plant. Now I’m letting them grow wild. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks y’all.
Oh and I forgot to mention, the spot I have them gets shade in the morning until about 11 A.M. they are then in full sun for the rest of the day. I know it’s not ideal but it’s convenient to have them in that area.
At the moment for me the chocolate primotali reigns supreme as of about a week ago. It was only the third chocolate primotali I ever had, 2 last year but the one that I ate a week ago gave me the wildest reaction I have ever had from any pepper ever, and definitely knocked the socks off the Carolina Reaper. As for the red primotali, I've had dozens of those, and I will say that the burn is quite sharper than any Carolina Reaper I have ever had, but for me the heat rises, Peaks, and drops quicker than the Carolina Reaper, but the reaper does linger quite a bit longer. But you are right about the chocolate one, they are much bigger and that could account for why they seem much hotter to those of us who have tried both chocolate and red. Great review:-)
People who regularly eat hot peppers don’t develop a resistance. After a while their bodies know what to expect and doesn’t freak out anymore. It still hurts the same.
I’ve had all the standard grocery store peppers hottest being habanero and I’ve had a few super hots like the ghost, the scorpion and the Carolina reaper but I’ve never had a primatoli, looks wild with that long tail. It didn’t seem to faze you. Good job.👍🏻
I've eaten many upon many primotalii from so many growers.. some I've found pretty hot but not the hottest I've eaten until.. UNTIL.. I got ones from Heath Thompson.. his red, Chocolate and Goldens are WAAAYYYY hotter than anything I've ever had. Believe it or not the red was the least hot of the three from him.
Tanked it! Eventually I’ll end up getting one o these in my box. I’m nervous exited about it! Sounds like that plant was Uber stressed too! Lookin forward to the next! Any specific goals for your tolerance raising journey?
Are you growing the chocolate primotali, or have any on hand by the way? If not, I am growing them and I have tons of them on my plants right now, and if you would want a couple of them, if you paid for the shipping, I'll send you out a few and I'll even include a couple of my red ones which are blazing spicy this year.
Looks like ur handling it quite well. I think u may have to level up and eat like a handful of superhots or something. Oh, and how's the exit burn with all those peppers?
If you weighed a red and a chocolate one and they were both the same size and heat level, wouldn't it be down to just red vs chocolate burn? I've never had a chocolate pod, so I can't really say which is worse (but I guess it could also be a personal thing). It looked really gnarly though! Also, awesome t-shirt 👌
I’m fairly new to the pepper game…. Can someone please explain why it seems like hardcore pepper people are against Ed Curry and the Carolina Reaper? From what I’ve seen it sounds like Ed stole the Reaper from Troy Primo but I can’t figure it out.
I would highly recommend checking out a video on this matter on ChiliChump’s RUclips channel. He interviews Troy and the topic is discussed. It’s also kind of a meme at this point 😂
Is the brown version the hottest? I’m sure I’ve seen Johnny Scoville mention that. I’d not personally eat any of these just because of the stomach ache 🤢
Hey man, this is my first year growing peppers. Well, actually growing anything at all lol. I’m in Gainesville Florida zone 9a. I’m growing Jalafuego jalapeños and Candy Cane sweet peppers in 2-3 gallon pots. I picked a lot of the early flowers and now letting them go wild. Should I try to over winter a couple of them? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
If you end up liking the plants a lot, yes you can overwinter them. Although those varieties may appreciate a 5 gallon pot if you have the space and would like a larger harvest. Overwintering in Florida is pretty easy, you just bring them indoors/protect them before/during frosts and they’ll do fine! Just remember to use fresh potting mix during repot or to fertilize once your current potting mix is depleted of nutrients. Thanks for watching.
I cant tell which is hotter after you get to Ghost pepper and Scorpion pepper levels. They are just hot, one does not seem hotter than the other after that point, for me, the only difference I can judge is whether I like the taste or not, most super hots taste gross imo.
I have a lot better things to do than to “fake” eating hot peppers, and this wasn’t even a challenge, I was just reviewing the flavor, like I usually do. There is no incentive to fake it. Thanks for watching!

Do you have any sources on that?
Now eat his pepper x raw and say the same
Down in FL the more shade the better during the summer, it’s been brutal lately.
You have contagious energy, fantastic stuff! 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Some people are just built different 😂I would be in pure panic mode and this fella is chill as ice-cream 😂.

Great job! Had a chocolate Primotalii about a month ago and it definitely burned hotter and tasted better than the Reaper.
I've ate a few Primotalii and they are one of the hottest I've had. I have only ate a whole one once and wouldn't do it again.
Hopefully my plant will give me a few more before winter 😂
Wow..!!!..I really like watching your reviews on this stuff!!!keep up the great videos!!!😊😊😊😊😊
You gotta try a chocolate primatalli or the newest Louisiana creeper.

Try a Chocolate Primotalli. Lonestar Mastiff's Farms make a lovely one. Nice video, you handled this well.
Mine is flowering now!

If it's hot outside.. eating peppers outside is way more hotter
Good stuff.
That mf just looks spicy
Good review mate . It’s great where peppers are goin 🌶🔥 for me the choc was a bit hotter

Yea my plant is flowering now, it’s rather small but I’m hoping for a pod or two at least 🤣 I’d probably take you up on that offer!
@@capsaiyan just let me know. I'll even throw in a few other super hots then I'm growing for you to try.
Who downvotes a guy just eating hot ass pehpahs? What's your problem?
Looks like ur handling it quite well. I think u may have to level up and eat like a handful of superhots or something. Oh, and how's the exit burn with all those peppers?
Man, your tolerance is Johnny scoville level! You should try the chocolate primatolli, and give the mustard one too
Well done looks like you handled that well . That would have destroyed me! Lol
Respect to you sir.

Please get in touch with Johnny Scolville....
He's kinduva dbag anymore unless you toe his talking points.
Seems to be a ghaa lib

Sounds like you figured it out just fine.
In my experience, pepper plants are ULTRA sensitive to fertilizer when the flower buds are starting to form.
Best thing about peppers is they cure bowel worms.

Yeah from what I’ve heard I think chocolate primotalii comes out on top more often in heat
Hot peppers wreck my bung hole.....
my primotaliis are doing great but nothing ripening yet :/ but ive picked like 100 ghost peppers in the last month.
Beast mode activated!
Them peppers is hot the chocolate is way hotter though good luck with those
You live in Florida with that hawk in the background

Did you say, "If I wasn't so high?" 🤔
You gotta get the chocolate primotalii bro, that’s where it’s at
My plant is flowering but the 97+ degree heat has made it rough 😮💨
Chocolate Primo is way way way way hotter
Respect
I think you wiped away a bunch of the oil with your thumb.
I heard the Carolina creeper was hotest and yes I said creeper not reaper
It’s definitely hotter than a normal primotalii but from my experience, a chocolate primotalii takes the cake as the hottest
This pepper is medium hot. Johnny Scoville ate it without batting an eyelid
Yes, but his tolerance slays yours.
Pretty fast to the mouth...
How many scoville units is it
About 350
@@andrewut7ya511 350k?
Is that what you really ate? is what they will ask. Shouldn't have taken the pepper out of the camera view

Yeah, keep that thumb outta yer ash.
Too many people have both buried deep anymore.
