Great find! Just got my hands on an HTX Curb Crusier. Put new tubes, tires, cleaned it up and new grips. Deciding what color. If I may add 1 part of advice. Let little man wrench more. He’ll learn more from doing than watching. Great job!
@@jozzilion 6 year ago I restored a s&m heavy as f**k in to show bike condition. Prince Albert generation 1 crank the works lol. Sold it and regret it still.
I recently picked up a 1982 team murray x20r track certified bmx bike it's amazing how good of shape it's in has the grafite acs z rims and grafite-x pedals but other than that all original also picked up a early 90s redline proline and needs minor restoring with the chrome very little but your channel helped me with what path I was going to choose on restoring before selling it so thank you and keep on fixing those vintage gems 👌
Nice job. Only 2 tiny little criticisms... 1) Would look so much better if you replaced the few rusty bolts left on, such as on the rear brake caliper. Cost would be buttons but effect would be massive. 2) sort out the kids helmet, the chin strap is WAY too loose, if he has a big off his lid could easily fall off and fail to do it's job. I rode these in the 80s & 90s when helmets weren't a thing and have got permanent scars to prove how big the accidents on these can be.
I would suggest on the next one soaking it in pb blaster or wd 40 for about a week before trying to dismantle it. Also, they still sell these, at walmart, mongoose brand. If you find one with the gyro that's a score.

Remember scooting down steep hills in the 90s with my pal on one. You should shop about for a sticker set. Pukka job 👌
Still got scars from these bad boys mi self, I do have the decals for it now, cheers Nuggy
