Visited last year and became a Laphroaig drinker. Definitely visiting and taking the distillery tour in 2025 provided God preserves me. Fantastic little documentary and much appreciated. This Scots Texan is an Islay whiskey drinker exclusively.

Flew over in 2017 with the fam, spent the day on Islay, hired a van and driver, great guy, wife works for the Royal Post, everyone on the island is friendly beyond words, hit a bunch of distilleries before taking the ferry back. Best vacation ever. Highly recommended.

Excellent vid, thank you. Was in Edinburgh, and it never occurred to me to visit this isle. Yes its a quite a trek from where we were... but we traveled from Montana, so what's another klick or 3. Didn't fall in love with the peat till a couple months ago from finding whisk(e)y only 8 months ago..... will go to this land some day.
